Drugs Abuse Effects on the Family:
Emotional strain:
constant worry, stress, grief, and broken trust between the person and their loved ones.
Breakdown of relationships:
conflict, separation, or divorce is common when addiction goes untreated.
Financial hardship:
money diverted to drugs instead of rent, food, or children's needs; sometimes debt or job loss.
Child neglect or abuse:
children in homes affected by drug abuse often face neglect, instability, or exposure to unsafe situations.
Role reversal:
children or spouses may take on caretaking roles they shouldn't have to
Intergenerational risk:
children who grow up around substance abuse have a higher risk of developing similar problems later in life.
Domestic violence:
substance abuse is linked to higher rates of conflict and violence in households
Enabling and codependency: family members may unintentionally support the addiction (covering up, giving money) out of fear or love, which can prolong the problem.

Testimony given by HABUMUGISHA:
He sold DRUGS for 2 years, but he stopped with the help of the ANTI-DRUGS Club,
Now he is a member and self-employed in farming and livestock.
It has been 1 year since he quit.
Because of this, he is calling on others who are still using drugs to stop, because drugs have bad effects on the family and on the country as a whole.
