Today marks a decade of doing what I love. ❤️
10 years of henna-stained hands, countless brides, beautiful memories, sleepless nights, lessons learnt, and dreams that slowly turned into reality.
What started as a passion has grown into something far bigger than I could have ever imagined.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being part of so many beautiful celebrations, meeting incredible people, and creating art that becomes part of someone’s most treasured memories.
But behind every intricate design is a journey that not everyone sees. The long hours, the sacrifices, the self-doubt, the growth, and the determination to keep going.
To every bride who has trusted me with her special day, every client who has supported my work, every person who has recommended me, and everyone who has been part of this journey, thank you for making these 10 years possible.

Over the years, my bridal work has grown in detail, care and the time dedicated to each bride. My updated bridal rates reflect that work, alongside the experience I bring to every appointment.
Henna party rates, public holiday charges and the discount for booking your bridal henna and henna party together remain unchanged.
For brides planning their weddings over the next year to year and a half, my recommendation is to set aside around S$1,500 for your bridal henna and a henna party for up to 20 guests. It’s a comfortable planning budget that gives you room to choose the henna you really want. Your final total will depend on your selected bridal package and party requirements.
I’m proud of the work I bring to your celebrations, and I’m looking forward to meeting the brides who will be part of HennaByMon’s next two years.

And brides, a little reminder when planning your wedding week: if your bangle ceremony is in the evening around 6–7 PM, please don’t schedule your bridal henna on the same day. You’ll generally start getting ready from around 1–3 PM, and you’ll want to have time to enjoy your ceremony, take part in the rituals, have your bangles put on, eat, and actually be present for the moment. 💗
My recommendation: schedule your bridal henna 1–2 days before your function.

💗 Bridal henna doesn’t end when I finish applying it — the aftercare matters too.
Once your henna is done, here’s how I recommend taking care of it to give your stain the best chance of developing deep, rich and dark:
✨ Keep your henna on for another 4–6 hours.
✨ Avoid water while the henna is on.
✨ I’ll generally dry the henna down manually with a hair dryer before I leave.
✨ Put on stockings so you can comfortably sleep with your henna on.
✨ If you’re sleeping with your henna, use old bedsheets — and please, NO white bedsheets! 😂
✨ Once you’ve removed your henna, brides seem to love this tip: apply Vicks or Tiger Balm to help encourage a deeper, richer and darker stain.

Brides-to-be, here are a few things I want you to know before your henna appointment. 💗
✨Waxing: do 2-3 days prior to bridal henna so you can soothe your skin with aloe vera gel and any reduce any heat bumps caused by waxing
✨Mani pedi - do BEFORE bridal henna so cuticles are cut and when I do designs and capping, they don’t get cut into by a manicurist attempting to clean your cuticles
✨Henna deserves its own day: Especially for bridal henna, don’t squeeze your appointment between a million other wedding tasks. Give yourself the time to sit back, relax and enjoy the process.
✨ And lastly… I am a maximalist. 🤭 If you’re booking with me, come prepared for detail, coverage and lots of beautiful little elements. Choose and plan your outfit, jewellery and overall bridal look accordingly — because I love making sure your henna feels like a statement.

Why does henna stain differently on everyone?
Ever wondered why your henna stain looks different from someone else’s — even when the same henna is used?
It’s not always about the henna itself. Your body plays a big part in how your stain develops.
From body temperature to sweaty palms, and even something as simple as sitting in air-conditioning, there are several factors that can affect your final stain. 👀
🔥 Body temperature — warmth helps henna develop.
💦 Sweaty palms — moisture can affect how the paste behaves and develops on the skin.
❄️ Air-conditioning — cold environments can work against the warmth henna loves.
So if your stain isn’t as dark as someone else’s, don’t immediately blame the henna cone.
Your skin may simply be responding differently. 💗
