Lord, this week we pray for your help for all Christians in Thailand to grow in their attitude of humility toward one another, including in the churches. In a culture where age and status are so important, we pray that you would guide us to humbly serve each other regardless of worldly status. You laid aside your majesty; you did not come to Earth to be served but to serve. Make us aware when we serve our own pride or when we look down on others. Change our hearts to be those of genuine servants, seeking to do your will for the good of others and for your glory.

"Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for 'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'" (1 Peter 5:5)

Luke 10:2b
"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."

Let's pray for more church planters
🔸people who use any skill that helps them connect with others and share the gospel
🔸people who keep on reading the Bible with people interested, so they can grow as disciples
🔸people who help Christians to see what God is doing in their lives and how He wants to use their lives

Let's pray for more workers for support ministries
🔹Home school helpers
🔹People who come for a short time to help with certain outreaches (Christmas, various camps, kid’s club during holidays, etc)
🔹People who come for the annual conference’s kid’s programme
🔹And many more – find more opportunities on our website

Dear Heavenly Father, as Mother’s Day will be celebrated in Thailand this Wednesday, we pray for all the mothers in Thailand. We pray for each one of them to have a memorable celebration with their loved ones. We pray for each mother to have the daily strength they need. Give them patience for leading their children through the many learning processes, and help them to fully enjoy all the good moments they experience.

Father, we pray for single mothers. May you provide them with friends and families that help them in the difficult task of parenting alone while needing to provide an income at the same time.

Father, we pray for mothers who have little children and thus many sleepless nights. Bless them with moments of rest in between and strength for each day.

Father, we pray for mothers who have children with special needs. May you lead them to people who can provide help. Please supply patience and endurance in leading their children to adulthood.

Father, we pray for mothers with teenage children, that you grant them wisdom in mentoring their teens and letting them find and go their own ways.

Father, we pray for mothers with “adult children” to maintain good relationships, enjoying each other’s company and sharing of wisdom and resources.

Father, we pray for mothers who need the care of their children as they have grown old. Bless them with thankfulness for the care and patience for their situation.

Father, we pray for mothers who have lost a child, that you would comfort them.

Father, we pray that you bless each mother and let her know of your love and care for her.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this Sunday, the day of rest. Thank you for the freedom we have in Thailand for coming together to worship you. Thank you for the joy you give and the fellowship with fellow Christians.

Father, as we start into this new week, help us to keep our eyes focused on you, let us keep on worshipping you with our daily lives. Make us aware when we get distracted by the busy schedules we have, give us wisdom in setting priorities, success in getting things done, love for the people around us. Thank you that you are with us and you lead us in all of this. You are great and most worthy to be praised. Amen!

A bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench. (Isaiah 42:3)

Dear Lord, thank you that you do not destroy but restore, that you don’t tear down but build up, that you don’t condemn but set free. We thank you that this gives us hope for our own lives, our own brokenness, unworthiness, and sinful human nature. And thank you that we can proclaim this hope that you give to the people around us here in Thailand - people who may feel abandoned, unsuccessful, or not good enough, questioning whether their own good deeds will be sufficient to cover their shortcomings. Thank you that you give hope to everyone who turns to you.

Last week we prayed for missionaries on Home Assignment doing mobilisation. This week, let’s turn to the member care and member development aspects:

• Pray for joyful and refreshing times with family and friends.
• Pray especially for the parents of missionaries, that they would create lasting memories during home assignment—memories that will sustain them through the times when their children and grandchildren are living far away.
• Pray for missionary children to connect well with their extended families and to adjust to life in their passport country, including its culture, food, and climate.
• Ask God to help missionaries intentionally plan times of rest, allowing them to be physically, emotionally, and spiritually refreshed.
• Pray that any training undertaken during home assignment will prepare them well for their next term of service.
• Pray for any medical concerns that require attention.
• Pray for all practical needs to be met (like accommodation, schooling, transportation, health insurance, etc).

Home Assignment is wonderful – and full of lots of topsy-turvy feelings!

The Home Assignment of missionaries is a time away from their primary ministry, serving several important purposes. Over the next two weeks, let us pray for these various aspects, beginning this week with mobilisation:

• Praise God for the many churches worldwide that have sent and continue to support OMF Thailand missionaries.
• Pray for missionaries on home assignment to connect with new churches or small groups, encouraging them to engage in missions.
• Ask God to raise up new prayer groups dedicated to interceding for Thailand.
• Pray for increased financial support for missionaries currently low on support.
• Pray that churches would seek God’s will in discerning whom among their congregation He may be calling to serve as a missionary.
• Pray for meaningful conversations with young Christians as they consider their career paths and how the Lord may be leading them to use their lives for His purposes.

"Home Assignment isn't simply packing boxes. It's preparing to step away from everyday life and trust others to continue work that matters
deeply to them..."

It's high season for our holiday home “The Pines,” as international schools are off for a few weeks of “summer” break and a lot of families use this time for a family vacation!

• Praise the Lord for the provision of The Pines that has been a resting place for many missionaries in the past and present, not only OMF colleagues but also people from other organisations and countries
• This month volunteers will be managing The Pines, as the former managers will have finished their service, and the new manager begins in August. July is also one of the busiest months at the holiday home – pray for the volunteers and the staff to have stamina for all the work, a joyful atmosphere among the staff, and good communication between staff and managers and managers and guests.
• Pray for the guests to be able to relax well, to slow down and disconnect from work, enjoying nature, quiet times and fellowship with other guests.
• Pray for the children, too, to forge friendships with other holidaying children or to enjoy and deepen their friendships with their friends
• Pray for protection from any accidents or illness that could hinder the time of rest
• Pray that at the end of the holiday, missionaries can return to their homes and ministries feeling refreshed and ready for "the next chapter”
