Too many girls miss school, feel embarrassed, or suffer in silence, just because of a natural part of life. It’s time we changed that.

Let’s create safe spaces where girls can speak freely, learn without fear, and without shame.

Because dignity, health, and confidence during menstruation should never be a privilege; they’re a right.

Naguru Teenage Centre (NTC), through the SHE SOARS project, is empowering the young people in the West Nile and greater Northern Uganda with vocational skills. We are addressing high unemployment and poverty among youth, which has in turn led to an increase in teenage pregnancy, drug and substance abuse, and other issues.

We are operationalizing the Uganda National Youth Policy, which aims to unlock the potential of youth for sustainable wealth creation and general development. Ultimately, the results of these interventions shall contribute to the National Development Plan (NDP), which also prioritizes youth empowerment through skilling, which is critical for economic growth.

Throwback to the Football Gala in Kapchorwa!

Under the theme Unite to End Violence Against Women and Girls, this incredible event was more than just a game it was a powerful statement against gender-based violence and a rallying call to end Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) in the region.

Through sports, we engaged communities, sparked conversations, and reinforced the urgent need to protect the rights of women and girls. Every goal scored and every voice raised brought us closer to a future free from violence!

For 30 years, we have proudly championed youth health and rights, tackling critical challenges like teenage pregnancy and HIV. Our commitment has always been to equip young leaders with the knowledge and skills they need to make a difference in their communities.

Last week, we had the honor of delivering a session on adolescent-friendly services at the Reach A Hand Uganda Peer Educator Academy. This training is vital in strengthening referral systems and ensuring adolescents receive timely and supportive care when they need it most.

Empowering peer educators is more than just training; it’s about building a legacy of a healthier, more informed generation. Together, we continue to promote seamless health referral systems where no adolescent is left behind.
