I grew up with Aveda; I can remember Mom's salon in the 80's, and how everything permeated our home with the fragrance. Wellness and harmony have always been a part of our lives. "Take me back, to the rivers of my belief." I still use it, and yes, I am a grown Aveda baby. Thanks, Mom. 😉 Richard

I received an email from a prospective client today, and I hesitated before issuing a response to her.
I am posting my response because I am certain other people may have this reaction, and I thought this would be a way to respond locally and explain our position. We are a family-owned salon/spa, and our staff work what would be considered minimal business hours. They all love what they do, have families, and have outside interest they engage in.
When we are not available it simply means that we have achieved a level of competency in the industry that will not allow overbooking. Our staff is easily booked six weeks in advance; if we have cancellations, then the client/prospective client is placed on a computer list generated online, and it works beautifully. Our staff readily train new hires; they are as excited about serving you and recognize what we offer to our clientele.
One of the reasons we are limited in staff is the competency level we require to hire additional members, a practice we will continue to enforce as long as we remain in business.
Please understand that we do not relish the idea of turning clients away. I studied under Vidal Sassoon and Horst Rechelbacher, the founder of Aveda. "If you don't look good, we don't look good" was the primary slogan drilled into me as a young stylist. We will do our best to incorporate you into our system; we love having new clients, but not at the expense of service. We are looking forward to meeting you in the future. Bear with us as we hopefully add staff and can accommodate additional clients.
