Olson Weaver Landscape Lighting

Curb appeal does not end at sunset.

A recessed address light ensures your home remains legible, welcoming, and beautiful after dark. It is a small detail with a clear purpose: guiding guests, enhancing the entry, and completing the composition of the facade.

Design that works at every hour.

The work we do is not always visible by day.

It waits for the sun to set. For the first guests to arrive. For the quiet moments when the garden becomes something else entirely.

This is landscape lighting. Not illumination for its own sake, but atmosphere, safety, and beauty working together.

One tree. So many details.

A Crape Myrtle's vase-shape, delicate leaves, and reddish-brown bark all contribute to its presence by day. By night, warm white lighting amplifies each element, softening the hardscape, catching each leaf, and revealing a bark color that daylight often overlooks.

The power of one, thoughtfully lit.

The fixture at the screened studio does its work quietly, bringing out the natural glow of the wood while guiding visitors to the entrance. Low voltage made installation seamless, preserving the interior walls.

Simple copper boxes. A welcoming result.

There is something about a well-lit outdoor space that makes you want to stay.

These hidden linear LEDs along the terrace walls provide that quality: soft, unobtrusive, yet somehow defining the outdoor space. They do not announce themselves. They simply make the space feel complete.

For more than a decade, homeowners and designers across the DMV have trusted Olson Weaver to bring their outdoor spaces to life after dark. Our approach is not about illumination for its own sake. It is about creating atmospheres that feel as intentional by night as they do by day.

Antique copper offers warmth and a patina that will continue to develop with age. Stainless steel provides durability and a clean, modern contrast. Together, they create a fixture that is as versatile as it is distinctive, equally suited to traditional English gardens and modern architecture.

The shift from daylight to night light is not an ending. It is a beginning.

On this rooftop patio, a linear LED beneath the handrail catches the moment, perfectly illuminating the plants with a soft, even wash that feels natural rather than imposed. The city beyond fades. The garden comes forward.

This is what thoughtful lighting design makes possible: a seamless transition from one experience to another.

A behind-the-scenes look at one of the details that makes a lighting installation durable and reliable.

The turnbuckles on the East Potomac Mini Golf course may seem like a minor component, but they serve an important purpose: they allow for fine-tuning of the fixture height during installation and provide the ability to make future adjustments as the wire expands over time.

It is the kind of detail that ensures the system remains taut, functional, and visually consistent for years to come.

For the East Potomac Mini Golf course, using barnlights was deliberate.

The barnlight fixture grounds the project in historic authenticity, respecting the site's legacy and architectural character. Yet beneath that familiar form, an LED light source brings a new energy: crisp, efficient, and capable of transforming the ordinary into something memorable.

The result is a space that feels both timeless and alive.
