We got featured🙌🏻

“For 20 years, I was a photographer. I loved what I did, but deep down, I had always dreamed of something different — land, animals, a garden, and a slower way of life.

I wanted to know where our food came from. I wanted to grow more of it ourselves, raise animals, spend more time outside, and build something that felt meaningful for our family.

So we took a pretty big leap…”

The sheep have officially moved into their new barn! 🐑

After years of planning and dreaming, it’s pretty surreal to see them settling into a space we designed specifically for them.

A good sheep barn isn’t just about having four walls and a roof. Proper ventilation, shade, dry bedding, good drainage, clean water, safe fencing, and enough space for the flock all play an important role in keeping sheep healthy and comfortable.

With the extreme heat we’ve had this summer, having a well-ventilated, shaded space has been especially important. The barn gives them a place to get out of the elements while still allowing plenty of airflow.

And this is just the beginning! We still have plenty to finish and customize, but watching the sheep walk into their new home for the first time was a pretty special moment.

After everything this farm has thrown at us this summer, this feels like a really sweet milestone.

Support your local farmers. 🙌🏻🌾

With everything happening in agriculture right now, one of the most tangible ways we can support American farmers is by buying from them whenever we can.

When you purchase beef directly from a local rancher or farmer, your dollars go straight back into the farm instead of supporting another layer of the supply chain. That helps farmers continue raising cattle, maintain their land, invest in their operations, and keep producing food here at home.

Shop your local farmers market. Buy a freezer beef share. Visit a local farm. Know where your food comes from. And when you can, put your food dollars behind the people growing and raising it.

Because if we want American agriculture to have a future, we have to support the farmers who are building it.
