September 27 through October 3 is National Hereditary Cancer Week, formerly known as National Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Week.
Inherited genetic mutations, including BRCA1 and BRCA2, can increase the risk of ovarian and other cancers. Know your family history, talk with your healthcare provider, and ask whether genetic counseling or testing may be right for you.
