A Facelift can restore definition to the jawline and neck, but smoother contours do not always mean smoother skin. Fine lines, sun damage, and uneven texture may still be visible after surgery.

That is why combining a Facelift with CO2 Laser Resurfacing can be valuable for selected patients. While surgery addresses deeper tissue laxity, laser treatment targets concerns at the skin's surface.

These treatments address two different aspects of facial aging. Considering both allows for a more comprehensive approach tailored to each patient's anatomy, skin condition, and goals.

When appropriate, combining structural correction with skin resurfacing can create a more cohesive, refreshed appearance while maintaining natural facial characteristics.

A Facelift should not be planned by asking how much skin can be tightened.

Facial aging also involves changes in the deeper tissues that support the cheeks, jawline, and lower face. As these structures descend, simply creating more tension on the skin does not necessarily address the reason the face has changed.

For example, two patients may both be concerned about jowls. One may have significant skin laxity, while the other may have more pronounced descent of deeper facial tissues. The visible concern can look similar even though the anatomy behind it is different.

With a Deep Plane Facelift, we are able to evaluate and reposition deeper structures rather than relying primarily on skin tension to create the result.

Our goal is not to make the face look tighter. It is to understand where the aging changes are occurring and create a rejuvenation plan that respects the patient’s natural facial character.

If you are noticing changes through the cheeks, jawline, or lower face, a consultation can help determine what is actually contributing to them.

Facial rejuvenation is not always about treating one area in isolation. The nose, jawline, neck, and overall facial proportions all influence how balanced the face appears.

For some patients, a Facelift can address jowling, tissue descent, and neck laxity, while a Rhinoplasty can refine a nose that feels too prominent or disproportionate to the surrounding features.

Combining the procedures can allow both areas to be planned as part of the same facial composition, rather than improving one feature without considering how it relates to another.

At Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group, facial rejuvenation is individualized around each patient’s anatomy and goals, with the focus on creating better overall harmony while keeping the patient recognizable and the result discreet.

Breast shape cannot be understood through cup size or volume alone.

We also evaluate the patient's existing breast tissue, breast width, breast position, and the amount of upper pole fullness she currently has.

When Breast Augmentation is being considered, implant width and projection become additional parts of the planning process.

Body proportions also matter when we determine how much fullness and projection may be appropriate for the patient's goals.

This is why two women seeking a similar increase in breast volume may still require different implant choices and different surgical plans.

A successful Facelift is not about making someone in their 60s or 70s look decades younger. It is about creating a refreshed appearance that still feels appropriate for the patient’s age and identity.

Facial rejuvenation requires evaluating the jawline, neck, facial volume, skin quality, and deeper tissues to understand which changes are actually contributing to an aged appearance.

An overly aggressive approach can create tightness or changes that make surgery more noticeable. Thoughtful planning focuses instead on restoring proportion and improving the areas that have changed over time.

The goal is an elegant, discreet result where the patient looks healthier, better rested, and naturally rejuvenated, without immediately looking like they had surgery.

We think the term “Mommy Makeover” is most useful when it describes a planning concept rather than a fixed combination of procedures.

Pregnancy can affect abdominal skin, abdominal muscles, breast volume, breast position, and overall body contour in different ways.

Before discussing surgery, we want to identify which of those changes are actually present and which concerns matter most to the patient.

Someone whose main concern is excess abdominal skin may require a very different plan from someone primarily concerned with breast volume loss or sagging.

Only after defining those concerns does it make sense to discuss procedures such as Tummy Tuck, Breast Lift, or Breast Augmentation. We want the procedures to follow the anatomy rather than starting with a predetermined package.

With Revision Rhinoplasty, timing matters. If a patient comes to me only a few months after their first surgery, the nose may still be changing significantly.

I generally prefer to wait around 12 months, depending on the patient’s healing and the concern, so swelling can resolve and scar tissue can mature.

Sometimes the right decision is to wait. I want to revise a nose only when I can clearly understand what has stabilized and what actually needs to be corrected.

Primary Rhinoplasty and Revision Rhinoplasty do not begin from the same starting point.

With Revision Rhinoplasty, we are evaluating a nose that has already been surgically changed.

Before determining what should be corrected, we need to understand the existing nasal shape, current structural support, breathing concerns, and what was accomplished during the previous procedure.

We also consider which characteristics should remain unchanged rather than approaching the entire nose as a new design.

For us, Revision Rhinoplasty requires careful assessment of both the current anatomy and the patient's surgical history before deciding what may realistically be improved.

For this 76-year-old patient, the goal was never to make him look dramatically younger. It was to help him look refreshed while still completely like himself.

His treatment combined a Full Brow Lift, Facial Fat Grafting, VITTI scalp injections, and CO2 Laser treatment to address different aspects of facial aging.

What I like most about his result is the restraint. He looks better rested and rejuvenated without looking overdone or obviously surgical.

An implant can make the breast fuller, but fullness and breast position are two different considerations.

When breast tissue has descended, adding volume does not necessarily correct where that tissue sits.

This is why we evaluate volume and position separately during a breast consultation.

We look at the patient's existing breast tissue, current breast position, and whether additional fullness is actually one of her goals.

For some patients, Breast Augmentation alone may address the main concern. For others, a Breast Lift or Breast Lift with Implants may be considered because position also needs to be addressed.
