Finished off one of our busiest week of the year! Tuesday we served 361 guests for the San Antonio Manufacturers Association and Today we did breakfast, lunch and dinner for The Songbird Music Business Conference for 110 guests! Weddings are our favorite events to cater! They are more than just a celebration of love, but also seeing families celebrating together makes them that much more special! The wedding we did this week was one of the most memorable that we have done in the last 12 years. The bride and groom were awesome, the wedding coordinator Lisa Parnin had everything under control and so nice and the staff at The Chapel in Gruene were so helpful the entire evening! Then there was Mick the father of the bride who was here from Montana. Mick kept me company the entire time I was slicing briskets for the guests. We talked BBQ, as Mick does some cooking of his own, we discussed everything from meats to seasonings and I was able to share a couple of the best pieces of a freshly sliced Brisket with him. We talked about hunting and our kids and at the end of the night Mick asked to speak to my entire staff so he could personally thank us for how great the service was and how much the guests loved the food! This meant the world to me and my staff and will be something we will always appreciate and remember! I also loved my conversation with Mack, this gentleman is 85 years old and has been cooking his entire life. We laughed about some mistakes that we make when we are learning to BBQ and he said my brisket was the best he’s ever had! What an honor It was to serve these wonderful folks! Finished up graduation season this past weekend with a nice graduation at our favorite venue! We have 3 weddings still in June and so far July and August are looking like we will have a little break!
