Have some loose mineral makeup sitting around that you haven’t used in forever? Don’t throw it out! 😅

One of the things I’ve always loved about loose minerals is how versatile they are. They’re basically little jars of color, so why limit them to just ONE thing?

You can change up your eyeliner, mix your own custom shades, add some shimmer to your body lotion, create your own lip color (just make sure your minerals are lip safe!), and even make your own custom nail polish color. 💅🏼

These are 5 of my favorite creative ways to get a little more use out of your mineral makeup. And honestly, once you start looking at your minerals as COLORS instead of just eyeshadow or blush, there’s a lot you can do with them! 🎨

I go into all 5 ideas in my newest YouTube video!

Have you heard of the anti-blush trend? 👀

Instead of the usual pink or peachy cheeks, anti-blush uses softer, more neutral tones to add a little shape and dimension without really looking like “blush.”

I already had the perfect shade for this in my collection, so of course I had to try it. 💕

For this look I used Serene, a neutral rosy beige, and kept the rest of the makeup soft and coordinated.

Did you think loose mineral eyeshadow only had one way to apply it?

Here are 5 ways I like to use it:

✨ Dry for a softer wash of color
💧 Foiled for a deeper more metallic finish that lasts longer
🖌️ Eyeliner either dry or wet depending on how bold I want it
🤎 Brows when the shade works with my coloring
✨ Highlight or blush with shades that work well on the face

And of course I go into a LOT more detail in the full video including how I use each technique and which brushes work best.

Dark eyeshadow can go from 0 to 70 REALLY quickly. 😳😂

For my YouTube tutorial, “Little Black Dress Glam,” I wanted something darker and a little more mysterious than what I normally wear, so I used a deep charcoal mineral eyeshadow. The trick for me is using a smaller brush and building the color slowly so it doesn’t get away from me!

And because dark loose minerals can mean fallout, I came prepared for that too. I show you exactly how I make my DIY eyeshadow shields, along with a few other tips and tricks, in real time so you can try it at home!

This look was a little more impromptu than planned for our Friday night get-together, which was basically an unofficial bachelorette party that wasn’t really a bachelorette party. 😂

I kept the eyes soft and neutral with Noble across the lid, then added just a thin line of Inspiring for a subtle touch of indigo. You can *barely* see the blue, but that was the point…It gave my eyes a little more definition and tied everything together without taking away from the neutral look. (You know me, I 🤎 neutrals!) I finished it with Affectionate blush on my cheeks and Serene blush as my “brontour.”

Would you wear a subtle indigo liner with a neutral eye?😊
