β¨π½οΈ ππππ‘πππ ππ₯ βπππβWhat I Ate in a day! π½οΈβ¨
β¨π΄Hereβs the lineup for yesterdayβs eats β I tried keeping it simple, tasty, and bariatric-friendly, also with minimum preparation time due to busy schedule at work: π΄β¨
ππΉπ£ππππππ€π₯: Starting the day strong with CafΓ© Latte βοΈβbecause coffee and protein? Yes, please.
πππ¦πππ: Veggie vibes π₯π₯¦ with fat-free .valley ranch for that perfect dip moment.
ππ»πππππ£: Grilled chicken salad π₯ with a little fancy touch of pomegranate seeds and Cilantro Avocado dressing (because lifeβs better with a drizzle).
ππππππ: Chicken breast bites πβaka protein you donβt have to think twice about. Itβs one of my favorite finds.
β¨π§π¦πππ₯ππ£ was the real ππβ todayβit kept me hydrated, full, and focused. Anytime I felt hungry, I just chugged some water and moved on π. (And I almost made my hydration goal)π¦π§β¨
β¨π½οΈπ»π π¨ππ€πππ: Lunch was supposed to be just a snack, but work got so crazy it turned into my actual lunch. Whoops. π
Gotta love a busy day, right? Who else has been there ππ»ββοΈ
β¨π½οΈ ππ‘π€πππ: Nothing fancy, just quick, easy and kept me feeling good and on track. π

β¨ππΎπ£π π¨π₯π π€π₯ππ£π₯π€ π¨ππ₯π π π¨πππ πͺπ π¦π£ π₯π£π¦π₯πβItβs been a while since I gave an update, so here it goesβI am ready to officially accept where I am at in my journey. Life happened, and yep, the scale has crept up a bit. I am currently 24.8 pounds above my lowest post-surgery weight, and I would be lying if I said that didnβt frustrate me. But the first step to getting back on track? Facing the truth and embracing it.πβ¨
β¨πI read a quote that hit home: βπππ ππππ£ππ π₯π π¨ππππ π π‘ππ£π€π π πππ ππ£π π¨ ππ€ ππ πππ£πππ₯ π‘π£π π‘π π£π₯ππ π π₯π π₯ππ πππ π¦ππ₯ π π π₯π£π¦π₯π π₯πππͺ πππ πππππ‘π₯ πππ π¦π₯ π₯ππππ€πππ§ππ€ π¨ππ₯ππ π¦π₯ π£π¦πππππ ππ¨ππͺ.β And I am here, not running anywhere.πβ¨
β¨πI had not done a face-to-face comparison pictures in a while because, honestly, part of me felt like I was back to my pre-surgery days. But looking at the pics side-by-side has been encouragingβI might have gained some weight, but Iβve kept my confidence and my determination to get back on track. Hereβs to the journey, the truth, and all the growth ahead! πβ¨

β¨π¦ Reflecting on my journey, I realize how important it is to give yourself time. Itβs easy to get caught up in the desire for quick results, but true transformation takes patience and perseverance. Now three years post-op, Iβm still working towards my goal weight, and thatβs perfectly okay. Progress is not always visible on the scale but felt in our hearts and minds. π¦β¨
β¨π¦ My journey has taught me to celebrate every small victory and non-scale victory (NSV). The confidence, energy, and joy Iβve gained are invaluable. Remember, itβs not just about the destination but the journey itself. Keep going, believe in yourself, and embrace every moment. π¦β¨

β¨π½οΈ βππππͺ π₯π ππππ ππππ π‘π£ππ‘π‘πππ π ππ£πππ«π?βHere are my top 10 tips to simplify your meal prep and keep you on track with your weight loss goals! π½οΈβ¨
1οΈβ£ βπππ ππ π¦π£ ππππ¦βChoose simple, versatile recipes you enjoy. This minimizes decision fatigue and ensures you look forward to your meals.
2οΈβ£ πΎπ£π πππ£πͺ πππ€π₯βMake a detailed shopping list to avoid unnecessary trips to the store. Group items by category to save time and β¨donβt shop when hungry πβ¨
3οΈβ£ πΉππ₯ππ βπ π ππππβCook in bulk. Prepare large quantities of staples like grains, proteins, and veggies to mix and match throughout the week.
4οΈβ£ βπ£π-βππ π‘ πππππππ€βSpend time chopping vegetables in advance. Store them in airtight containers to keep them fresh and ready to use.
5οΈβ£ ππ€π π₯ππ π£ππππ₯ βπ ππ₯πππππ£π€βInvest in high-quality, stackable containers. This helps keep your fridge organized and your meals fresh.
6οΈβ£ π½π£πππ«π ππ π£ πππ₯ππ£βFreeze portions of meals that you wonβt eat right away. This is perfect for those days when you donβt feel like cooking.
7οΈβ£ ππππ‘ππππͺ ππππ€π πππππ€βUse a few go-to seasonings that work for multiple dishes. This keeps the flavors exciting without complicating the prep process. I only use basicβsalt, pepper, red chili powder and Italian seasoning on most.
8οΈβ£ ππ¦ππ₯ππ₯ππ€πβWhile something is baking, you can be chopping, mixing, or cooking something else. Efficient use of your time is key. One pan recipes are great.
9οΈβ£ πππππ πΌπ§ππ£πͺπ₯ππππβLabel your containers with the meal name and date. This helps you keep track of what needs to be eaten first.
π βππππ πΈπ€ ππ π¦ πΎπ βTidy up while you cook to avoid a huge mess at the end. It makes the process less overwhelming and more enjoyable.

β¨π¦ ππ₯π€ π βππ‘π‘πͺ/πππ π‘π π€π₯βI am currently fostering 3 beautiful cats. Each one has a unique story of survival but one thing each of them have in come is how much I have gotten attached to them in last few weeks. I have cared for them, saw them gain strength and be their unique selves. Now one of my foster is ready for adoption π¦β¨
β¨π¦ This is Drakeβhe is sweet 9 month old boy, always looking for cuddles and ready to play. He loves greeting everyone at the door, waiting for me to hold him upside down like a baby. No matter what he is doing he always stops everything when I am near. He is great with everyone, including our two dogs. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy drake is perfect for you π¦β¨
β¨π¦ I am happy, excited and sad at the same time. Itβs my fist time fostering and my very first foster up for adoption. I want to keep Drake all for myself since he is such a sweet boy. But I keep reminding myself that if I fail to do this right than I wonβt be able to help more fosters in the futureπ¦β¨
β¨π¦ If you would like to meet this sweetheart, he will be at the adoption event at in Naperville organized by tomorrow Nov 5th, 2023. Drakeβs profile is also up on ARFβs website. Please share so he gets more visibility in finding his forever home π‘π¦β¨

What I have realized is to lose weight you have to be disciplined with your food and strive to have a balanced dietπ§Ώβ¨
β¨π§Ώ I now exercise to get stronger by building muscles and my endurance. It has helped my body to be more flexible, so that I can enjoy a lot of the daily routine activities pain free, this realization has been part of my weight loss journey and some days requires constant conscious reminders π§Ώβ¨
β¨π§Ώ In stead of relying on exercise as source of losing weight, my main focus now has been on all the benefits of exercising:
πͺit boosts my mood
πͺit strengthens my heart & bones
πͺit helps me stay focus
πͺit decreases my stress level
πͺit helps me maintain my mobility
πͺit helps me able to enjoy all the wonderful adventures during my travels pain-free
πͺit improves my coordination
πͺit detoxifies my body
πͺit helps me maintain my blood pressure
πͺand most importantly it helps me manage chronic pain & fatigue
β¨π§Ώ The last one is the most important for me, I always avoided exercise thinking I am so tired and it will only make me feel horrible. I have realized that days I exercise I have more energy and my day is more productive than on days I skip. No wonder there are so many people addicted to their gym routine. Most days I am not happy to head out to the gym but almost every time I do I am glad that I did π§Ώβ¨
β¨π§Ώ To help me keep my gym routine I have joined orange theory, if I skip any class I have to pay extra penaltyπ° which helps me stay on track π. How do you manage your exercise ποΈββοΈ schedule?? π§Ώβ¨

β¨πΈππ©·β¨I definitely have played with Barbies and have some great memories from my childhood. β¨π¦βππππ ππ ππππͺβI am struggling to say the least. Last few months have been very difficult at work, my team is under staff and I have been doing multiple peopleβs work. Late nights and long days at work with hardly any break or time to think about anything other than the deadlines for year end close π₯Ήπ¦β¨
β¨π¦This is how I got to the point of needing a surgery and I can see the history repeating again, slowly my weight has been creeping upβ sitting down in front of the computer for 10 or 12 hours with bare minimum activity has not been good. I have noticed some mindlessness eating just because the old habits have kicked inπ¦β¨
β¨π¦Itβs time to tackle old habits with a new mindsetβ I am hoping to replace old habits with positive new ones that help me enforce boundaries, limits and focus on my goal. For starters I need to join a gym or some program that keeps me moving, I need to learn to make time for myself and my health againπ¦β¨
β¨π¦I am strugglingβ but I have not given upβ not yet, not now, not today or anytime soon. I am a work in progress and I will continue to put my health first π¦β¨

β¨π¦I absolutely love thisβif I could go back in time and can give myself one advice it would be this. πΎππ§π πͺπ π¦π£π€πππ π₯πππβnothing can be achieved in a day. Start the journey with no expectations, but only desire to never give up and keep working towards your goals. No matter how hard or unattainable it may seemβjust keep pushing forward. I am almost two years post op and I have not really made my goal weight yetβkey word is βYETβπ¦β¨
β¨π¦Although I have not yet made my goal weightβI have achieved so much more than physically visible. The gift of a healthy body never gets old and the NSVs along the way make it all worthwhileπ¦β¨

β¨ππππππͺ πππππ-ππ: I lost 3.8 lbs in 4 day ππ³. So I have been talking about using meditation to help assist with continued weight loss. I finally started Phentermine HCL 30mg on December 1st last week. So far my results have been incredible. I am thinking that I maybe losing water weight hereβbut as long as the scale is moving I am not complainingπ€·π»ββοΈ I have taken Phentermine long time ago as part of my many many failed attempts to lose weight before I had the Bariatric surgery. It worked well for me I was able to lose 20 lbs but once I stopped I regained everything back. That was my only reservation with starting any medication right now was, I donβt want to go back to my old ways. But I am almost two years post op, based on conversations with my doctor this should help me manage the hunger part so I am able to lose another 40 lbs that I need to be at a healthy BMI for my body typeβ¨

π₯¦Daily meal planβset a daily meal basket in refrigerator instead or weekly meal prep
π»Work life balanceβwork from home sometimes make it hard to set boundaries. My work has been taking a lot of my time. This is the area I need to continue to improve.
πΏPray moreβtake time out to meditate and connect at spiritual level. I noticed that when I am regular with my daily five prayers it helps me stay more organized and give me mental clarity that helps me stay focus and relaxed
