I’m going to say something that might upset a few people in the beauty industry.

Taking one nail class does NOT mean you’ve mastered the skill.

A certificate of completion shows that you attended training. It doesn’t replace practice, experience, or the professional licensing required to perform regulated services.

And as somebody who teaches both adults and youth, I think it’s important to be transparent about that.

Our goal at All Jazzed Up is to give students a strong foundation they can continue building on.

Nail educators, do you think some classes are promising students too much? 👀

Some of y’all will encourage a child to follow every dream EXCEPT the one that involves the beauty industry. And we need to talk about that.

Beauty can lead to entrepreneurship, education, product development, salon ownership, and so much more.

No, every child won’t become a nail tech. But why not give them the opportunity to explore something they’re interested in?

That’s why All Jazzed Up offers nail education for youth AND adults in Chicago.
