wonnie's world unapologetically me
I'm all about helping to inspire and support people from all walks of life.
Hopefully, sharing some of my challenges and life experiences as a Military wife and mother of 8 adult children, will encourage someone else.
A repost....just thinking over my life. I didn't know I would have to start my entire life over in my Senior years. It's was a leap into the unknown at first, leaving a decades long relationship. Then came illness....I was was caught totally off guard, but my trust in God brought me through. With the love and support of my children and grandchildren, I'm happier than ever. They're mad because I won't come to live with any of them... absolutely not, with teens and twenty somethings, still living there, oh no๐๐๐๐
Leave it behind...the past hurts...the disappointments...lost relationships...you can't fix what you didn't break ๐
I had a couple of rough days, but they don't stop my forward progress. I learn a lot from others who have gone through this before me. It's not good to think you know everything....it stunts your growth. Be open to learning new things. I don't mind saying that I learned a lot from my adult children, a wealth of knowledge from their different careers and experiences. It's helped me immensely.
I love a good old Gospel song that makes you move and makes your heart happy.
This is me in my good days. I get it in on those days. Who knows what tomorrow is gonna bring. Focus on the good, squeeze out every drop of the elixir of lifeโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
If you wanna know why I speak about my peace so much, let me tell you. Out of my eight children, 3 of them were Cheerleaders. One was Captain of a team, another one was Captain of another team. Then all of my first set, 3 girls and one boy, were in the school band! Can you imagine the stomping, screaming, running, and repetition of said same noise and chaos I had in my home 365 days of the year????๐ฎ๐๐๐คฌ๐คฌ๐บ๐ท๐น๐ฃ๐ง๐ง๐ง! PEACE

No...you cannot steal my peace. Go and create your own.
These 4 items on my bedroom wall represent 2 things in my life. The purple 4 inch heel represents all of my shoes I had to give away and donate. I found a Women's shelter that had programs for helping women find jobs. I also gave them suits and dresses. I could no longer wear my shoes due to surgery and Titanium rods in my left leg. The pictures of the Eiffiel Tower represent my cancelled trip to Paris, because I couldn't walk for 5 months....but, I'm still here, blessed, and I can walk!
Just a thought....I have a policy with my adult children, some of who are now grandparents. Keep all the chaos and negativity where you are. Let's share love, positivity, and good times.
