Answer: Massage by Feet!

In Chinese history Cai Bei… pronounced “sigh-bay“, is an ancient form of Chinese massage therapy which is little known in Western culture. Simply put—the therapist walks on your back.

The forces required to perform this massage technique are entirely generated by the force of gravity and the use of the body as a tool. It utilizes the toes, heels and balls of the feet to manipulate, stretch and open up the musculature of your chest, legs, buttocks, back and shoulders, thereby releasing tension which is stored along these regions of your spinal cord and body.

To support and control her balance, the therapist uses overhead parallel bars and, with the use of her arms, pulling or pushing, can decrease or, in some instances, increase the varying angles of down force or pressure required to achieve the release of rigid or constricted muscle tissue. The amount of force available with the feet, is on the order of three times that of conventional hand and finger massages.

Wendy was born in the ancient City of Xi’An in the People’s Republic of China.

Wendy’s Father was a General and pilot in the Chinese Air Force and her Mother was a revered teacher. Both were conscientious and hard working parents with loving ambitions for their children’s future.

In 1981, following in her Father’s footsteps, Wendy served two years in the Chinese Air Force and then began studying in her chosen career at the Second Military Medical University” in Shanghai. She graduated with honors as a Registered Nurse. Twenty years later, Wendy retired from military service with the prominent and esteemed rank of Colonel.

In 2006, Wendy embarked on yet another journey—coming to America. Because of the language and licensing differences, she was not able to obtain her Nursing license. Disappointed, but not disheartened, Wendy studied for her Massage Therapist license, so she could continue to put her years of skill and nursing experience to work helping and healing people. For the next two years, she worked and managed some of the finest therapeutic massage spas and salons in Southern California.

In 2008, Wendy’s son, Jerry, joined her in America, and they moved to Chico so Jerry could advance his career studies in medicine. Wendy began working in two massage salons to pay for his education, and quickly identified a need for a more professional salon with the quality environment she believes so essential in the practice of true Chinese massage therapy.

So in January 2010, Wendy proudly opened Wendy’s Massage—her very own unique and tranquil massage therapy salon.
