No worries, she won’t be attending any weddings for a while.
We still have a few fall dates available and Spring of 2024 is booking fast!

Tip Tuesday:

You don't have to wait until the end of the night for the grand exit!
I'm sure you've been to weddings where the guests have trickled out and the fun sparkler exit is very low attended.
Us too! For the best pictures and video, you'll want a fully attended exit.
Doing an early FAKE exit allows you to have grandma at the exit and if your photographers and videographers are only booked until 9 pm, you can get this 'checked off the list' early and get back to the party.
Just make sure your guests know the party goes on!

Tip Tuesday:

Happy Valentine's Day, lovebirds!!
This tip is specific for today because while your big day is full of stereotypes, there are so many ways to personalize it.
Think about what is unique about your relationship or something dear to you two.
Maybe board games are your jam- have a game at each table!
Love pickles? We've seen the most elaborate pickle bar at a wedding.
Personally, we are Star Wars fans. We chose to walk back down the isle to the Star Wars Theme song. People loved it!!

It's your big day and doing something unique makes it so memorable, not just for you, but for your guests! Make sure your photographers and videographers know about it! We'll ensure it's memorialized!!

Tip Tuesday:

When planning, you think venue, food, flowers, cake, table decorations, bridal party, photography the list goes on.
You got it! Those thinks are all so important.
However, I'd encourage you to pause and think back to what you remember from weddings you attended. What do you remember most?
Was it the floral arrangements? The food? How do you go back and look at these events? (Especially if you were a bridesmaid or groomsman).
Flowers fade, table decor is forgotten, even the venue drifts away.
Pictures last forever. Video gives you a clear memory of the feelings of the day... and guests... they often remember the food! (or maybe that's just me).

Find ways to budget for those more 'memorable' items accordingly.
Looking for ways to save? Ask your photographer and videographer! We've seen it all!!

Tip Tuesday:

It can be very intimidating to have a photographer and videographer following you around. I get it, none of us are really used to it!
However, for your big day, it is all about you! For us to get the best footage, we want you to be comfortable. We'll prompt you and encourage you!
We don't mind at all if you sneak a kiss or hold hands smiling at each other. We actually love it! It's up to you to make it look real.
The best way to make it look real is to be genuine! Pretend we aren't there or put on your best acting skills and fake it!

If you are nervous, let us know and we'll do our best to help you be more comfortable.

Tip Tuesday:

Wedding Cakes, while beautiful can be expensive and complicated to cut.
Choose a lovely cake topper and have it on display. It will be just for you and the groom to cut (and save for your anniversary if you choose).

Use your same baker, but ask them to make the rest of the cake in sheet cake form. You'll save a significant amount of money, have the option of more flavors, and your cake cutters and servers will be able to have it ready to serve as soon as you finish cutting instead of having to take the big cake to the back to cut and serve.
Your cake table can be smaller as well, since it won't need to hold that whole big cake!

I promise, the pictures will be just as glamorous!
Oh, and the cake will taste JUST as good!

Tip Tuesday:
It seems simple, maybe unnecessary, but we've all been to a wedding where it takes an awkwardly long time before people feel comfortable making their way to the dance floor.

1. ask your DJ how the encourage people to dance
Do they play the classics? (think songs everyone knows or songs that have a dance set to it- cha cha slide etc)
2. ask your DJ if they get out on the dance floor
Is it awkward? Honestly, I don't think so! I always smile because people feel more comfortable jumping in. The DJ usually knows all the dances and can help others catch on quickly!

We learn a lot attending so many weddings! I thought it would be fun to share some wedding tips based on our experiences.

Tip Tuesday: It's easy to put low priority on the cake table, but location does matter. I highly recommend a round table and one on a stage or raised platform if possible. People love to watch the couple cut the cake, but your videographer and photographer need to be front and center to capture the moment. Using a round table allows plenty of room for your document takers as well as guests to see. Putting your table on the platform allows even more people to view.
Remember, the table to can be taken down after the cake cutting, but putting it in a corner or against a wall will limit visibility!

Feel free to ask your venue where others have located it or if you take pictures of the venue space, ask your photographer or videographer for a recommendation. We are always happy to help (and we've been to our fair share of venues!)
