Sometimes less is more. In the case of the lovely Destiny, we changed our trial to reflect just that. We originally had a bit more bronze and more contour to the eye. However, Destiny decided she wanted just a bit more pink and we kept the eye clean with just some natural looking individual lashes for definition. I love I can keep my clients looking as close to their natural selves as possible.

I love when Moms put their trust in me to give them a fresh look on a big day. Oftentimes we can get stuck in a rut with our makeup and don’t know which products work best for our skin changes. I love keeping things natural yet impactful. Here’s a few of my favorite products and lines for anyone approaching their 40’s and beyond.
creal is a line made specifically for women 40’s and up. Her products are creamy and full of beautiful textures that don’t age the skin, but keeps it looking dewy and fresh. Some of my favorites from this line are the “Today’s Highlights 12 hour peptide balm luminizer”. It gives a subtle glow without any sparkle. Her “12 hour peptide sculpting bronzer”. The creamy consistency is never orange and always natural.

The Veil Hydrating Skin Tint Foundation is light with just the right amount of coverage.

Cream blush is always your friend. The “Beach Please Lip + Cheek Dewy Cream Blush is easy to use, wallet friendly and comes in gorgeous colors.

The eyes can be the toughest place to make changes. A creamy eyeshadow pencil is easy to use and can give color without looking harsh. , and make creamy, and eyeshadow sticks that are a breeze to use. Look for the matte shades to give a diffused look.

For a night out I love to add subtle, eye lifting individual lashes. makes some of the best lashes. I love using the 8mm and 10mm for adding just the right volume. Keep the length short so it doesn’t over power the eyes.

Pulling this one out of the archives, because I still love everything about it. From the styling by , to the beautiful ,and the amazing photos by , it just makes me happy. I love when I can look back at my work from a few years ago and not regret the choices I made (I’m sure other artists can relate). That is the greatest feeling as an artist.

Second to my favorite neutral tones would be the Holiday classic, berry shades. You can find one that fits every skin tone and gives a fresh, barely there stain, or a full on pigmented lip. For the lovely we decided to add a touch of shine and packed on the blush for our shoot. The sleek infinity bun by .wolff_hairdesign really brought the look together!

Look at the beauty that is .kightlinger! She positively glowed for her wedding and I feel so lucky that she trusted me for such a big day. I still can’t get over this gorgeous updo by my talented friend .

Don’t forget, once the weather turns colder, to make sure you are hydrating your skin before makeup. Sometimes I like to add in the extra step of using a hydrating spray before and after makeup application to give the skin moisture and luminous glow. I love “the reset” moisture spray, “luminous dewy skin mist”, and “Hydrogrip Dewey setting spray”. They all have a serum-like feel and will help keep the skin feeling refreshed and your makeup glowing!

I needed to wipe off my camera lens, but I think the smudge on the lens gave this photo a soft glow 😂. has perfect skin, which made the makeup lay on the skin so smoothly. It never hurts to start a skin regimen 6 months before the big day to get your skin wedding ready. The healthier the skin, the less makeup needed on the face!

I thought this one deserved a place on the grid. As I said in my reel, this is MY version of a smoky eye. I say it a bit jokingly, because it’s so like and just has a little darkness at the lash line. But thats just how I like it! Of course the beautiful makes everything look good. How to achieve this look:
Instead of using a lot of shadow, I went in with the artist pencil in “Anywhere Caffeine” and sketched a thick line right above the lash line and smoked it out. Then I went in with a dark taupe shade from the new matte neutrals palette and dusted that right over top. I added in some fluffy trio lashes and kept the skin light and neutral. Super easy and natural!

I really enjoy a soft, but structured wave pattern. Whether it’s a half up or Hollywood waves, I love them all. I try to cater my makeup to the hairstyle because I want them to be cohesive. Sometimes a tiny bit more drama (well, dramatic for me that is😂) goes along nicely with a polished curled style, don’t you think?
