There's so much mixed news and negativity out there regarding Beautycounter and admittedly I don't have all the words or the best explanation, but I am going to attempt to share with you the best way that I can at this time.

This page along with news reports from Fast Company and PopSugar and other sources have many individuals concerned about the future of our brand. The sale of Beautycounter in 2021 to the Carlyle Group, a private equity firm, was supposed to launch Beautycounter's level of business opportunities and exposure in the market to more favorable scenarios. Unfortunately the original mission of our founder wasn't shared by these investors and there was a downturn in operations. It's a long story that you can certainly Google. Anyway, Gregg, our original founder and CEO is back and working to build a new company!

As of now, the future is unknown....there is hope that we will relaunch in October 2024. I am optimistic and remain positive, but can't promise anything. I do hope while we wait that you will reach out with questions/concerns and ideas for other clean beauty brands or product swaps that you can shop in the interim. More than anything, our mission remains the same, to get safer products into the hands of everyone.

I am also hopeful that when we are back, you will return to shop the products that you love and that I can be the person to help you do just that.

Until then, please feel free to reach out about anything that you NEED as I do have a network of individuals (as well as myself) who have some products on hand for sale.

Dear amazing Beautycounter friends and family, Over the past few weeks, I have wholeheartedly believed that Beautycounter would be relaunching in May. It was the belief of our Founder Gregg Renfrew as well.
We were recently notified that unfortunately the process of transitioning Beautycounter out of foreclosure from Carlyle Group, and back in to the hands of the new LLC G2G that Gregg Renfrew created to buy Beautycounter back is going to take more time. Beautycounter is now slated to relaunch in Q4 (October-ish). The new Beautycounter will launch with new technology, an incredible assortment of products through a new and innovative approach to getting safe products into the hands of everyone.

I am personally devastated to share this news as I LOVE this Company and its mission and it has been my privilege and joy to make it part of my life and yours these past few years. I love sharing it with you all and meeting new people. I LOVE educating, opening eyes and minds to cleaner options. Because this happened so quickly I am still processing.
We do have a limited partnership with Ulta and they do still have some inventory so I suggest you stock up to get you through to Q4. The products are in 500 stores and online. I am planning on standing by and will be with the Company in Q4. I hope to see many of you then when we can relaunch at pop ups and events! And if you have any brands you trust and love, please share them with me so we can keep this clean beauty movement moving forward!
Just because we are on hiatus, the need for clean beauty and more legislation and ethical and sustainable sourcing and packaging has not gone away, there is still so much work to do! I am here to chat anytime! I will miss speaking to you, AND- I will be back. With love and gratitude and so many feelings.
