I had the absolute sweetest bride-to-be in for her trial spray tan, and I just loved getting to spend that time with her. There’s something so special about being trusted to be a tiny part of someone’s wedding season, and I never take that for granted.

Today is one of those days that always makes me stop for a minute.

September 11th is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a reminder of how quickly life can change, how deeply people can love, and how strong we can be when we come together.

I think about the lives that were lost, the families who were forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and every person who showed courage, compassion, and selflessness in the middle of unimaginable heartbreak.

I also think about the way our country came together afterward. People checked on each other. Helped each other. Loved a little harder. And I wish we could hold onto more of that every day.

So today, I’m choosing to remember with gratitude, with compassion, and with a little extra kindness.
