Hi there! Long story ahead! But I hope you'll read until the end. 💕
You may be wondering what's happening with this group so let me explain. I actually wasn't looking for this opportunity, a dear friend of mine started with Mary Kay and asked if I'd participate in one of her skin care class trainings. Having used Mary Kay in the past I said yes and to be honest, since working from home the past year, I haven't been keeping up with a good skin care routine. So I welcomed her invitation and was interested in the Volu-firm skin care kit.
I signed up to become a consultant for a few reasons: 1. It helped my friend. 2. Discount on my purchases. 3. If I made a little extra money that would help my family.
So, I did all the steps: I created my website, I created this group, I ordered the business cards, I waited for my kit to arrive and I began my skin care routine.
And I had a reaction to it, like holy cow, my face was so angry! Red, bumpy, hives and blotches on my forehead, cheeks, and neck. I have dry, sensitive skin so the Volu-firm might have been too strong for my skin as it has retinol and collagen in it's ingredients.
So I thought ok, I'll use the 3D TimeWise line. I thought that's what I had used in the past. But my skin didn't like that either! I wondered if MK changed formulas or maybe my system changed. I wondered if my autoimmune condition had anything to do with the adverse reaction. 🤔
I had a dilemma... How do I promote something I can't use? I second guessed my signing up, I felt guilty for ordering the extras to kick off this little side business, and I think I was disappointed. 😳
I thought I'd be coming on here to tell y'all "thanks for joining, but I'm going to have to deactivate the group" but my friend and the MK directors said hold on, try the botanicals skin care line! It's only been I think 3 days but my skin is finally feeling happier! ☺️ The rash is clearing up, my skin is less irritated and less itchy. It's getting softer and the dry patches are less noticable. Thank goodness! I say all this to you because above all I'm honest, probably to a fault! But I would never promote a product or company that I didn't believe in. Mary Kay has been around a very long time and they know what they're doing. I was not left to figure this out on my own. I had at least 3 people reaching out to me to reassure me and to offer solutions.
