Morning Study Thoughts: The Heart of Gratitude vs. The Spirit of Entitlement
I was reflecting on my study this morning about how we treat the people God places in our lives to help us. It’s a reminder that we should never let our personal urgency turn into someone else's emergency.
When someone goes out of their way to bless you, it is an act of grace—not an obligation. We have to be careful not to catch an attitude when things don't happen on our timeline, especially when we don't know what that person is walking through or who they are caring for in the background.
Entitlement demands, but love appreciates. Before we get upset over a "delayed response," we should check our hearts and make sure we aren't trading a good friendship for a moment of misplaced ego. Character isn't seen in how we ask for a favor; it’s seen in how we react when we don't get our way. 🕊️✨

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." — Philippians 2:3-4
