A lot of women don’t enjoy doing their makeup because it feels heavy, takes too long, or just doesn’t blend the way they want.

That’s exactly why I never skip my Belly Button Blender.

Because I don’t just want to look cute for date night—I want to feel cute, too. 🧡

Which means I don’t want my makeup to feel heavy, and I definitely don’t want it to look heavy.

That’s why how you blend your makeup matters.

Not only does my Belly Button Blender get the job done, it makes doing my makeup so much more enjoyable. It feels soft on the skin, blends and melts everything seamlessly, and gives me that smooth, buttery, airbrushed finish without soaking up too much product.

I use it for my foundation, concealer, liquid blush, and cream or liquid contour. Then I use the exact same blender to press in translucent powder and lock everything into place.

It’s time to enjoy doing your makeup again.

You don’t have to suffer with heavy makeup anymore by

Not every bride is a JTorry Bride.✨

And that’s intentional.

A JTorry Bride values expertise, trust, and an experience that feels effortless from beginning to end.

She is thoughtful about who she chooses.
She notices the details.
She understands that the right artist does more than complete the look she helps shape how the entire day feels.

She isn’t searching for the cheapest option.

She’s searching for the right one.

Because how she feels on her wedding day matters just as much as how she looks.

Pithi Bridal Glam look 1 of 4 💍✨

Parita almost skipped getting professional hair and makeup for her pithi because she thought it was “just a small event.”
Afterward, she told me she was so glad she didn’t.

She felt beautiful. She felt confident. And it completed her entire wedding experience.

To every bride: don’t overlook your pithi or puja. These moments are part of your story too. They deserve to be remembered just as beautifully. 🧡

South Asian brides your wedding story isn’t just one day, it’s every meaningful moment leading up to it. ✨

The real secret to staying young has nothing to do with makeup.

I believe it is loving what you do.

I love helping women feel confident through the art of beauty. I love helping a woman feel beautiful, but I also love watching her learn, grow, and begin to see herself differently.

Those light-bulb moments mean everything to me.

The moment when something finally makes sense.

The moment when she realizes she is capable.

The moment when she stops questioning herself and begins showing up as the best version of who she already is.

That is what I love about this work.

It is not only about applying makeup. It is about educating women, building their confidence, and giving them tools they can continue using long after they leave my chair or finish one of my classes.

Life will take all of us through difficult seasons. But when you genuinely love what you do, it keeps something inside of you alive.

Maybe that is the real secret to staying young.

And if you want to become more confident using makeup as a tool, download my free guide, The 7 Makeup Mistakes Keeping You From Looking Polished, at JTorryGuide.com or comment guide

Most Women Wear Makeup. Very Few Women Leverage It. 07/29/2026

After nearly two decades of helping women with makeup and more than 10 years of teaching it, one belief completely changed the way I educate.

Most women know how to apply makeup.

Very few understand how to leverage it.

That difference has very little to do with trends and everything to do with confidence, presence, and leadership.

I explore why in my latest Substack:

Most Women Wear Makeup. Very Few Women Leverage It. Most women are taught where makeup goes. Very few are taught what it's actually doing.

I thought I was opening my mom’s makeup bag. Instead, I uncovered a lesson about my own identity.

My mom passed away about six years ago, peacefully at my home in hospice, just as she wished.

Her passing shook me deeply. I did not only lose my mom I lost a huge part of who I had been while caring for her.

Afterward, I went through her stuff slowly, one drawer and one memory at a time. But I kept her makeup bag.

When I finally opened it recently. there were only a few products inside:

One foundation.
One compact.
One tiny brush.

Her entire makeup routine was the bare minimum.

And suddenly, those few products revealed so much.

My mom worked tirelessly, loved deeply, and took care of everyone around her. She consistently placed herself on the back burner.

She never had to tell me to do the same.

I learned by watching her.

Even after more than 18 years as a makeup artist, I had subconsciously carried the belief that makeup and intentionally showing up for myself was only important for special occasions.

That little makeup bag helped me see what had been shaping me all along.

It was the answer I had been looking for.

It was the fuel I needed.

It became my why.

I realized I wasn’t just teaching women how to apply makeup.

I’m teaching a language.

II believe beauty is a universal language, and every woman deserves to learn it not because makeup defines her worth, but because learning gives her the awareness to choose how she wants to show up in the world.

My mom’s makeup bag taught me that the greatest lessons don’t always come from classrooms.

Sometimes they come from paying attention.

Never stop learning.

Because every time you learn something new, you become aware of something you couldn’t see before.

And you cannot change, heal, or grow beyond what you are not aware of.

Learning is an art. Awareness is the masterpiece.

Not every vision needs validation. Sometimes it just needs your commitment.

Not because people have the power to stop you, but because not everyone has the capacity to understand where you’re going.

Too many ideas are abandoned because they were shared too early with people who responded with doubt instead of belief.

Protect your vision. Build quietly. Let your results do the talking.

The people who are meant to support your growth will recognize it when it’s ready.

Beauty is a universal language.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start creating polished, intentional makeup with confidence, JTorry Makeup 101 is where I’ll teach you the complete method.
