Benu Client update: This year Loy's hair reached his waist before the trim. Loy wears twist exclusively and allows his hair to be straightened only when it is scheduled for a trim, which happens every 6 to 12 months. When Loy first came to me in November 2020 for hair advice his hair was shedding and he had a few thin areas. I assumed full responsibility for his hair because I wanted to test the Benu haircare products and heat- free styling regimen. I agreed to twist his hair and I have been doing so every 4-6 weeks for almost 6 years. Today his hair is thriving and I can barely keep up. His wash day is 2 days 4 hours to detangle and wash and 6 hours to twist. The main products he uses are Thirst Quenching Leave- in, Moisturizing Butter and the Growth treatment. I also use a natural Benu suds- free shampoo that reduces tangles that lead to breakage. I credit his hair growth and length retention to the heat free styling and the products.
