Let’s talk about HS.
Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic skin condition that can cause painful, recurring bumps, nodules, and abscesses often in areas where skin rubs together.

HS is not gender specific. It can affect people of all genders, so this is important information for everybody.

And no, it’s not caused by being “dirty” or having poor hygiene (Although hygiene is very important). 💛

Because I work closely with skin during sugaring services, I believe it’s important to know that not every bump is an ingrown hair.

Some skin concerns need a different approach, and recognizing when something may be more than a typical post hair removal bump is part of taking care of yourself.

If you experience recurring, painful bumps or sores, especially in the same areas, don’t ignore what your skin is telling you.
