An unexpected game for SEC Championship. We were prepared to lose against power house Georgia!

But we didn’t. Such a great win for Bama. Cheering them on in my Paul Bear Bryant Houndstooth hat.

Special day at the Shirey house! My Lou had the honor of performing the swearing-in ceremony for granddaughter, Anna Grace Jones. AG is a nurse and reports for Air Force Officer Basic Course on January 10. She will be assigned to Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. This Mimi is so very proud of her.

Anna and her brothers represent the 3rd generation of military service in the Shirey clan. Lou’s father served 23 years as an Army Chaplain. Lou served 26 years as an Army Chaplain. Our grandson, Sam, is in the Army Reserves, Grey serves in the Air Force Reserves. And now Anna.

We are so proud!

He and his wife, Kim Butts, authored numerous books, including When God Shows Up:Essays on Revival; The Devil Goes to Church: Combating the Everyday Attacks of the Enemy; Revolution on our Knees: 30 Days of Prayer for Neighbors and Nations. harvestprayerministries.com

We grieve our loss while we celebrate his home going. Lou and I valued his friendship and mentorship. We also love Kim Butts and will continue to pray for her and the family during this difficult time.
