Earlier this week, we talked about how itâs important to not just pray and hope God brings a miracle to youâŠ
You also need to take action in preparation and expectation that the dream God has placed on your heart will come to pass. (James 2:26)
Fear, anxiety, doubt, lack, and confusion are all tactics of the enemy to try and get you to lose hope that God has good plans for you even though God says in Jeremiah 29:11 âI have plans to prosper you and not to harm you.â
I know how loud our circumstances can be sometimes, thatâs why itâs so important to keep Godâs laws on our hearts day and night so we donât lose sight of His goodness and promises over our lives.
Let Godâs truth be louder than what you see in the natural.
We are spiritual beings too, and our fight isnât against the clients who ghost us, or the people from our hometown who might judge us for posting⊠itâs against demonic opposition.
I pray for God to strengthen you this week đ€

When God asks us to steward what Heâs given us well, He meansâŠ
- aiming to not just post pretty makeup, but have a ridiculously incredible client experience (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
- auditing your business so that you actually know if youâre making a profit or not (Proverbs 31:18)
- giving every client dedicated time and energy, and that doesnât mean working tomorrowâs wedding running off of yesterdayâs fumes (Ecclesiastes 4:6)
- not automatically assuming that every objection leads to a definite ânoâ (Proverbs 15:28)
- creating systems that are designed to bring your dream clients right to you (Matthew 5:14-16)
- taking action on the information youâre consuming (James 2:17)
This is exactly what we cover (and more!!) in the Anointed Artist Accelerator.
Because you deserve the best clients in your clients deserve the best experience.
Applications are being reviewed this week and we begin next week with our 1:1 strategy call before the program begins.
This isnât four weeks of information with coaching slapped on top, itâs four weeks of finding exactly whatâs costing you bookings and fixing it.

It matters whoâs in the room with you.
Bridal suites are known for being chaotic, but they donât have to be.
As Iâm setting up my station, I take the time to pray over my brides, over their peace, over their marriage, over this sacred day.
I pray against any attacks from the enemy that would try to come against them to steal their peace and bring anxiety.
I pray that my tools and my kit are blessed as well as my hands.
I pray that every word that comes out of my mouth is life-giving, wise, and encouraging.
I pray that the Holy Spirit fill the bridal suite with His presence.
I pray that the love of God flow through me and cover everyone who walks in the room.
So yes, it matters that you hire an artist whose work makes you feel beautiful.
But I would say it is equally as important that you hire an artist who goes to war for you before your wedding day even begins.
That is the kind of artist I am for my brides.
I am just a vessel to bring God glory.
Get out of the budget Facebook groups.
And I mean that lovingly đ
đ«¶đŒ
Not because thereâs anything wrong with having a smaller wedding budget.
A bride can absolutely value hair and makeup and still only have $300 available to spend.
Her budget is not the problem.
The problem is when you spend so much time surrounded by $200-$300 requests that you start believing those numbers represent what every bride is willing or able to invest.
They donât.
That bride may simply not be your client.
And that is okay.
But if every day youâre seeing:
âLooking for someone affordable.â
âMy budget is $250.â
âDoes anyone know somebody cheaper?â
Eventually you start building your business around those conversations.
You lower your pricing.
You get nervous sending your rates.
And eventually you convince yourself:
âMaybe brides just wonât pay more.â
Meanwhile, there are brides with completely different priorities, budgets, and expectations.
Some will spend more on photography.
Some will spend more on their venue or florals.
And some will gladly invest more in beauty because feeling incredible on their wedding morning is one of their top priorities.
Neither bride is wrong.
Theyâre just different clients.
And this is the shift I need bridal artists to understand:
Your job is not to take someone with a $300 beauty budget and convince her to spend $1,200.
Your job is to learn how to get in front of the woman who was already looking for the level of service you provide.
Because you cannot determine the ceiling of your business by studying the buying habits of people who were never your target client.
So stop asking:
âHow do I convince these brides to pay more?â
Start asking:
âHow do I become visible to the brides who are already looking for what I offer?â
And you donât have to disrespect the people in one room to realize your business belongs in another.
If youâre ready to learn how to position your talent in front of brides who actually fit the business youâre trying to build, comment âREADYâ and Iâll send you the details. đ€
Jesus says in Mark 11:24:
âWhatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.â
My husband and I read this verse the other night and it kicked us out of a state of âGod hasnât done it yetâ to âGod has already done it, I just need to steward it wellâ
Because if Iâm praying,
âGod, send me more clients.â
âGod, grow my business.â
âGod, give me more opportunities.â
âŠbut then Iâm completely unprepared for those opportunities when they comeâŠ
am I actually preparing in faith for what Iâm praying for?
Imagine praying for more bridal inquiriesâŠ
and then one comes in.
But you take days to respond.
You send your pricing and never follow up.
She has an objection and you donât know what to say.
Your booking process is confusing.
Your content got her attention, but your business wasnât prepared to convert that attention into a client.
And then she books someone else.
Sometimes weâre asking God for more when the next step is learning how to faithfully steward whatâs already being placed in our hands.
Faith doesnât mean sitting around waiting.
Sometimes faith looks like preparation.
Building the system before the inquiries increase.
Learning how to sell before you have ten people asking.
Getting your pricing right before your calendar fills.
Creating the client experience before you have the volume.
Becoming the woman capable of stewarding what youâve been praying for.
Because if you truly believe God can answer the prayerâŠ
prepare like you expect Him to.
Thatâs a huge part of what weâre doing inside The Anointed Artist Accelerator.
If youâre a bridal hair or makeup artist who knows you have the gift, but you need help building the business around it, comment âREADYâ and Iâll send you the details. đ€
Donât only pray for the harvest. Prepare the storehouses.
$200 booked does not mean $200 in your pocket.
In the example in this video, that $200 booking became about $64 after the sample tax reserve, products, travel, and processing costs I used.
Then I counted the time I was actually spending on the booking:
Trial. Wedding day. Driving. Cleaning. Prep. Emails. Admin.
And suddenly the âalmost $70/hourâ I thought I was making became about $6.40/hour.
THAT was the number that changed the way I looked at pricing.
Not because I randomly decided, âI should charge more.â
Because I finally stopped pricing by comparison and started pricing by math.
Being booked tells you people are willing to hire you.
It does not automatically tell you that the price youâre charging is actually supporting your business.
So I built a Bridal Profit Check specifically for bridal hair + makeup artists to help you run your own numbers.
Comment âCALCULATORâ and Iâll DM you the link to find your number đ€
Fair warning: you may never look at your bridal rate the same way again.
The tax reserve and expenses shown in this video are illustrative examples. Your actual taxes, fees, expenses, and travel costs will vary.
Sales doesnât have to feel icky đ
Being direct is the best thing you can do for your business.
Sure you might get referrals, but if thatâs what youâre depending on to bring clients in đŹđŹ
Iâm learning to be better at this, too.
I didnât go to school for sales psychology or business, but as I spend time in the secret place, God has been teaching me SO much about business I wouldâve never learned in school.
Comment âBUSINESSâ and letâs clarify what would take your business to the next level đ€

Once you see it, you wonât be able to unsee it.
Underpricing your services may be comfortable for your clients, but itâs costly to:
- your bank account (especially after taxes & expenses)
- your health (working 3x as much to make the same amount of $$$)
- your relationships (youâre not able to be fully present with your family after a full weekend of back to back weddings)
- and yes, also to your clients too (theyâre getting the burnt out version of you who is running on coffee and gum)
Like have you ever actually sat down with yourself (and God ofc) and just asked:
âAm I setting my rates based on what other people in my area are charging? Or am I running my numbers, seeing my total revenue and what Iâm actually profiting each month? And am I working towards a specific financial yearly goal?â
Those questions are SO important to ask yourself and take action on, otherwise, the leaks in your boat will only get bigger and you will not be able to sustain your business.
And for my students, all it takes is 5 minutes or less to plug in their numbers, set a financial goal, and see how to get there.
No more guessing what to charge, undercharging, and you get to see what youâre actually taking home (if its $200 or less, youâre probably making less than minimum wage đ„Čđ« )
If you want to become more confident in your prices, have more profitable bookings, and a business that actually supports your life, comment âCALCULATORâ and Iâll send the link right to your DMs đ
Itâs time to stop treating makeup like a side hustle and start becoming the artist who can confidently charge $500, $800, and maybe even $1,000+.
