There's a scam spreading fast right now, and it's a cruel one. You get a phone call from someone claiming to be a U.S. Marshal or police officer. They sound official. They might even know your name and address. They tell you that you missed jury duty, and there's now a warrant for your arrest — but you can "clear it up" by paying a fine right now. Some are even texting people a fake arrest warrant to make it look real.
Here's the truth, so you never have to wonder:
👉 Real courts contact you by mail, never a surprise call threatening arrest.
👉 No real agency will ever ask you to pay with gift cards, crypto, wire transfers, or a payment app.
👉 Caller ID can be faked to show a real courthouse number — don't trust it.
👉 Missing jury duty is a small fine handled through paperwork. Nobody is getting arrested over the phone.
If you get one of these calls: hang up. Don't argue, don't confirm anything. Then call your local courthouse using the number from their official .gov website to be sure. You can report it at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
Forward this to someone you love. One share could save a parent or grandparent from a terrible day. 💛

New scam alert 🚨 The 'jury duty arrest warrant' call is everywhere right now. Real courts mail you — they don't call threatening arrest. Save this. Send it to your family.
