Imagine having a peer support team that officers actually trust, supervisors know how to use, leadership actively supports, and members don’t burn out after six months.
If your agency is ready to strengthen or rebuild its peer support program, let’s bring the Advanced Peer Support Playbook to your department.
Not ready to host? Join us virtually on July 8th and learn the systems, skills, and strategies behind sustainable peer support programs.
Comment JULY8 and I’ll send you the details.
The mistake most cops make is thinking that if they can just push through one more shift, one more call, one more year, they’ll eventually feel less stressed, less angry, less exhausted.
But that’s not how it works bro.
You can’t outwork a dysregulated nervous system…for long.
The reason so many officers stay stuck is because they’ve spent years training tactical awareness without learning emotional awareness in the same capacity.
Many of you know how to read a suspect, a room, or a threat… but not the signals coming from your own body.
It’s like driving a patrol car with the check engine light on for 100,000 miles and hoping the problem eventually fixes itself.
Recovery builds awareness and skills to recognize what’s happening internally before stress, burnout, cynicism, anger, or emotional shutdown start driving your decisions.
That’s exactly why we created the Burnout Recovery & Resiliency virtual training on July 10.
We’ll show you how to identify the early warning signs of burnout, understand what’s happening inside your nervous system, and build practical recovery strategies that actually work in a first responder lifestyle.

Women need training environments where they can go 110%. This was that.
The next summit is already in the works. Should we do a winter session here in Arizona??? If so, who’s in??
Featuring women in your social media isn’t going to retain women once they are hired on.
Women have been socialized for centuries to be responsible for the emotional care of the workplace as well as inside of the home. This means that there are more hurdles and challenges for some women to be in a career like Law Enforcement.
Revising policies, evolving culture, develop mentorship opportunities and creating flexibility with family planning: these are things that matter to women.
It’s like renovating the front of a house to attract guests, but never updating the plumbing, insulation, or furniture inside. People may walk in impressed, but they won’t stay comfortable.
If you want to hear how Lt Jenna Clawson updated outdated policies for herself and every person (including men) at her agency, comment POST PARTUM and I’ll send you the full episode.
