Ashleigh The Writer
Blogging is so much fun! I love it! Writing is my passion though!
I have started my blog and this page is to bring your attention to my personal blog, along with so much more!
My dad used to get SO upset when I told him I would NEVER date a pastor!
Watching this documentary reminded me exactly why.
People need to understand that sometimes, people—especially men—seek powerful positions because they know the title gives them protection. And when that title is “Pastor”? Whew. People will defend the title before they ever question the man behind it.
And that’s exactly what I’ve experienced with my dad.
I honestly don’t believe my mom could leave even if she wanted to. She’s “the pastor’s wife.” She’s expected to stand beside him, protect his image, and help make him look good.
And that makes me incredibly sad for her because I’ve witnessed times when she was genuinely terrified of him.
And before anybody runs back saying, “Ashleigh is lying. She just has a lot going on…”
PLEASE let me know. 😂
Because I kept the receipts. Texts. Voicemails. Proof.
I’m not speaking this loudly because I have nothing to back it up.
My dad is a dangerous man, and people really don’t understand what I risk by publicly telling my story.
And YES—I know there are AMAZING pastors out there. But people who hide behind God and use the church as protection make the good ones look bad as hell.
A title does NOT equal character.
That's MY mama!!! ♥️🥹
Video also on YouTube, TikTok and now Facebook
I only know about 85-90% of the b*tches my dad slept with!! And THAT alone is crazy!
But there's ONE he's been dealing with for over
20 YEARS! My dad even had me calling and texting this woman about random things, and! swear on everything, I had NO IDEA she was his MAIN one!
Meanwhile, my mom BEEN knew about this woman and kept her mouth shut to protect her HUSBAND!!
The amount of secrets I was unknowingly involved in is INSANE.
This frog-looking b*tch had MY MAMA, thinking she's not pretty enough, worthy enough, just not a good woman!
Her ugly a** was around her and his family while my mom damn near had a mental breakdown because she was there!!
My dad didn't respect my mom's feelings and told her that his side-chick is staying there at
HIS family reunion!!!!
My dad didn't respect my mom's feelings and told her that his side-chick is staying there at
HIS family reunion!!!!
She is soooooo lucky I didn't know about this until after the fact, because | promise I would've went to jail that night!!!!!!
I know she will see this and I know my dad will too!
So ett both of yall and to the others who smiled in my mom face while my dad was d*ckin' them down, you ain't s**t!! Eff you & your bloodline!!
My mom better than me bc I would've went
KILL BILL on all of yall!!
I go into much more detail about my dad and his cheating, in my book:
"I am not your girlfriend, l am your daughter!"

Some people are going to be disappointed when they learn who my father really is—and I’ve had to accept that.
Writing I Am Not Your Girlfriend, I Am Your Daughter! was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I had to revisit memories, emotions, and pain that I spent years trying to bury.
But I realized I couldn’t keep carrying it.
This book wasn’t written to make people choose sides or convince anyone to believe me. I wrote it because I needed to finally tell MY story, in MY words, and release some of the pain I had been holding onto for years.
People may look at him differently after reading it. They may even look at me differently.
And I’m finally okay with that.
This is my story. And I was ready to tell it.

Yes, Confessions of a Hypers*xual is spicy—but that’s only part of the story.
I also talk about the danger. The risky decisions. And what was really happening beneath the surface.
There are so many misconceptions surrounding hypers*xuality that people are afraid, or ashamed, to talk about it.
But hypers*xuality goes so much deeper than s3x.
And I think it’s time we actually talked about it.
📖 Confessions of a Hypers*xual is available now on Amazon. Paperback and additional platforms coming next week!
Hypers*xuality is often misunderstood.
It’s not simply “loving s*x,” being promiscuous, or having a high s*x drive. For some people, hypers*xual behavior can become compulsive, difficult to control, and tied to things like trauma, emotional distress, or manic episodes.
And no—it doesn’t look the same for everyone.
I spent years living with behaviors I didn’t fully understand, making risky choices and carrying the shame that came afterward.
Confessions of a Hypers*xual is my story of what happened before I understood the why behind my behavior.
I’m not sharing my story to glamorize it. I’m sharing it because hypers*xuality deserves conversations that go deeper than s*x.

What happens when the Lockridges put the drama aside for one day?
This Juneteenth, Westmere comes together for a community celebration filled with good food, laughter, friendly competition, and maybe a little shade here and there. 💛🖤♥️💚
For one special episode of The Lies We Tell, you'll get to see a different side of the family.
The similarities. The traditions. The moments that remind everyone why family is family, even when they don't always agree.
No major scandals.
No explosive confrontations.
Just community, culture, legacy, and a few Lockridge moments you won't want to miss.
Special Episode Edition: Juneteenth will be available on my first stepping stone, Wattpad, within 2 weeks
Not to toot my own horn, but... toot toot.
One thing nobody talks about when you're an indie author is that marketing your own books can be exhausting.
Writing the books? Love it.
Creating the characters? Love it.
Breaking down the psychology behind why they do what they do? Absolutely love it.
But turning on a camera and talking to yourself when nobody's watching yet? Whew. That's a different level of faith.
I've been creating character breakdowns, episode analyses, and behind-the-scenes content for my upcoming books, and some days it feels like I'm just talking to a wall. But every author starts somewhere, so I'm showing up anyway.
If you're into psychological drama and complicated characters, keep an eye out for my series, The Lies We Tell, releasing June 21.
And if you're looking for something a little different, grab Girls Need Love, available now on all major platforms.
Also... my YouTube currently has about 3 subscribers.
Can we get that to 10?
Love y'all for the support.
XOXO
