🏡😌🔒I am officially locked in with this cozy retreat stay in Richmond, VA. I spotted this two bedroom, 2 bath, colonial style apartment on and was totally impressed!

For a Solo Retreat the location is convenient and safe. It’s nestled in a friendly neighborhood with local shops and eateries that are just steps away. The high ceilings, hardwood floors, and minimalist earthy decor set the tone for a peaceful, fresh, clutter-free life during my 4-night stay. My favorite thing about this stay was the claw foot bathtub…sheer bliss and relaxation.🧖🏽‍♀️

☕️🎙️✨You can make anything a retreat. Even something as simple as getting coffee. Retreats are about intentional pauses.

For me this was a very intentional visit to as I’ve been trying to get to this spot for quite sometime. A local spot not too far from home, yet it was unfamiliar. My brain and body responded to this simple thrill.✨

What I planned to be a yummy caffeinated drink with chill cafe vibes and my laptop, ended up being that + an impromptu podcast. An unplanned, unsolicited, and totally unfiltered conversation amongst strangers and cafe goers.

Thank you , , and the super hospitable cafe manager, Stephani….without the “e”! Such a brilliantly basic approach to having real + healthy conversations with REAL people.

🏡📍 RVA always feels like home and you know what they say…there’s no place like home! My much needed Solo Retreat was everything I needed to reset and refresh. Just sharing some spots I decided to visit.✨

During this 4 day, 3 night retreat I was on full DND 🚫. The only things that came close to me were what I allowed. I consciously chose every place that I visited BEFOREHAND. Being in a safe space with all my needs met, my mind was able to fully decompress from it ALL…it all, meaning every ounce of energy given to family, work, finances, relationships, politics, social injustices, social media..the list goes on. We can’t escape it but we can take care of ourselves whilst navigating it. It’s imperative that we do!✨
