I wish I knew this sooner 😭
I used to buy bagged soil for my raised beds until I realized I was spending over $100 more for the same amount of soil.
My mom, who’s been gardening for over 40 years, taught me to just go to a local dirt yard and check the price per cubic yard. That one change saved me so much money.
Have you ever bought soil in bulk before?
My garden went from nothing to thriving in just a few months.
Now we’re starting all over again. 🌱

Herbs, honey, and a little bit of garden magic 🪄
Violet's Herbs will now be at the Lafreniere Park Farmer's Market every second and fourth Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Come spend the afternoon in the park, meet local farmers and makers, and explore handcrafted herbal products made with care from our small Westbank herb garden.

We are so grateful to be featured by the Freret Street Market. Thank you for highlighting our micro herb farm and the work we love to do. If you have not visited this market yet, it is truly one of the most beautiful community gatherings in New Orleans. We are honored to be part of it.
Look for true leaves, strong stems, healthy roots, and the right weather.
Snap peas are a cool-weather crop, and planting at the right time makes all the difference.
