ExxonMobil says energy efficiency is the biggest future energy source, not oil or gas.

Biggest energy source for the future isn't oil and gas, Exxon says - Dallas Business Journal Energy efficiency technology will save 500 quadrillion British thermal units over the next 30 years, said Ted Pirog, an energy analyst with Exxon Mobil Corp.

A low-flow showerhead uses about 2.5 gallons of water per minute (GPM) as opposed to 6 GPM from old showerheads. That means you can save 35 gallons of water during a 10-minute shower, which saves your furnace from heating more water, too.

Iron, steel, and aluminum are metals that can be recycled over and over. Metals are not renewable resources, i.e. their supply will run out. The 36 billion aluminum cans put into landfills last year were valued at over $600 million.
