Feel strong, move with joy & love what your body can do. Music-driven workouts, Pasadena Ca & online.
Here’s a little something to try on your next walk.
Pick one block and pick up the pace. Walk fast, jog, or run, whatever feels like a challenge that day.
Then just walk the next three blocks and catch your breath.
That’s it. Repeat if you’re feeling up for it.
Maybe it’s twice this week. Maybe next week it’s three or four. See what happens.
It’s one of the simplest ways I know to give your heart a little extra challenge, and all you need is the walk you were already going to take.
If you have a heart condition, check with your doctor first.
Save this for your next walk. 💛
Give me a good beat and some athletic cardio combinations, and I’m all in!
One of the things I love about moving to music is that you’re not just working your body. You’re engaging your mind, too.
Remembering patterns, coordinating your arms and legs, changing directions, and staying with the rhythm.
You’re focused on what comes next, and suddenly you’re getting a great workout without thinking about how hard you’re working.
That’s my kind of cardio. ❤️
Some days I start a workout feeling energized and ready to go.
Other days, not so much.
But one thing I’ve noticed over the years is how often I feel different by the time I’m finished.
My energy shifts. My mood lifts. And whatever was weighing on me before doesn’t always feel quite so heavy.
Not every workout has to be about getting stronger, hitting a number, or reaching a goal.
Sometimes moving your body is simply one of the best things you can do for how you feel today. ❤️
We often think about strength training in terms of individual muscles. Legs, back, shoulders, arms.
And while building strength in each of those areas matters, there’s also something valuable about bringing them together.
When you combine movements, you’re asking your body to do more than produce force. You’re challenging coordination, stability, control, and the ability to transition smoothly from one movement to another.
That’s one of the reasons I love training this way.
Combinations like these give you another way to challenge your body, develop strength, and keep your training interesting.
Because building a strong body isn’t about choosing one way to train. It’s about exploring how many ways your body can get stronger. ❤️
We move in so many different ways throughout the day. Side to side. Forward and back. Reaching, shifting, balancing, changing direction.
So it makes sense to train our bodies to be strong and controlled through all of it.
I love incorporating movements that challenge strength while asking the body to shift, stabilize and coordinate.
Not every exercise needs to do all of that. But building variety into your training means your body is better prepared for more of what life throws at it. ❤️
You know what it feels like to challenge yourself.
To finish a workout feeling strong, energized and really good about what you just accomplished.
But sometimes life gets in the way and before you know it, things have started to slip.
That doesn’t mean you’re starting over.
Sometimes you just need something fresh to get excited about. A little structure. A new challenge. Something that reminds you how good it feels to push yourself again.
That’s part of what inspired me to create Build Momentum, a four-week workout program I’ve been quietly putting together.
Here’s a little peek at what’s coming later this month!❤️

Building strength matters. But so does learning how to use that strength.
Can you control it through a full range of motion? Stay stable while your body shifts positions? Coordinate different movement patterns without losing control?
I love training this way because it asks for more than just strength. It asks for coordination, balance, body awareness together.
There’s a place for slowing down and focusing on one thing at a time.
And there’s something really satisfying about putting different movements together and feeling them flow. ❤️
