Steal this easy one to turn your summer clothes into fall ready pieces.

The base : your go to denim shorts and your favorite tee. I love a thick band around the collar to add some interest to the shirt poking out the sweater. Want to mix it up? Pick a graphic tee instead of a basic tee.

The layer: an oversized chunky sweater. You can do simple, you can do pattern. A v neck shows off your tee, but a round neck allows just the collar to peep through. If it gets too warm, you can tie this layer around your shoulders or waist for added dimension.

The boot: What elevates this outfit. Pick a heeled boot for a night out, or a flat boot for a casual day. The boot height compared to the short length balances out the bottom half of the outfit. This would be so cute with a patterned boot, a graphic tee, and a simple, v neck sweater.

The accessories: THIS is where the outfit comes alive! I love a matching bag and shoe combo to elevate any outfit. You can pick any purse to play around with this look. I love medium to large bags for this particular look. Add a bag charm like I did for some added personality. A belt and jewelry brings the look together and ties in your patterns, colors, and textures.

September = fall … right?

I’ve been curating my fall wardrobe vibe for months, and I’ve finally narrowed it down to the key pieces missing from my closet. Trying to shop smart is hard when you’re used to impulse buying, but now is better than never!
