At 68, I’m not winding down. I’m building something new — and watching this little studio come together has been incredibly exciting.

Phase One of our new Face to Face Makeup Education Studio is officially underway! 💄🎨

We’re just beginning to get everything set up, and I already cannot believe how beautiful it’s looking. I’ve dreamed about creating a space dedicated to hands-on, face-to-face makeup education, creativity, and artistry — and now it’s becoming real.

A HUGE thank you to Senna Cosmetics for the absolutely gorgeous makeup stations. They are perfect for the space and such a special part of bringing this vision together. ❤️

This is only Phase One… and as soon as it’s finished, I can’t wait to show you!

What a beautiful and full week! 💕

I spent time in the studio creating gorgeous, wedding-ready eyebrows and catching up with longtime clients who brought their beautiful children along. There’s something so special about watching my clients’ families grow over the years—and having their children become part of the Polaris family, too.

Then it was time for family, fun, and a trip back in time as we celebrated my ex-husband Jeff’s 70th birthday dressed in fabulous 1970s-style clothing! 🕺🏼🪩✌🏼 After more than 30 years of history together, I’m grateful that we can come together as family, celebrate these milestones, laugh, and make new memories.

From beautiful brows and children in the studio to platform shoes and ’70s birthday fun—it was a weekend filled with beauty, love, family, and gratitude. ❤️

This spectacular wedding from a few years ago unexpectedly showed up in my feed, and it was simply too beautiful not to share again!

I had the pleasure of working alongside my dear friend Aubrey Loots, with the extraordinary Mindy Weiss creating and planning this truly unforgettable event. Every detail was breathtaking—from the setting and flowers to the overall sense of magic and celebration.

It’s always wonderful when a memory like this resurfaces and reminds me of the incredible events, talented people, and beautiful moments I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of. ✨💄💐

A little on-location wedding beauty in beautiful Laguna Niguel with my dear friend and talented hairstylist, Aubrey Loots. 💕

This lovely young woman had never had her makeup professionally done before, so we kept her look soft, fresh, and very natural—making sure she still felt completely like herself. She was so happy with the result, and the entire wedding party loved the beautiful hair and makeup we created for them.

Of course, these are the only photos I actually remembered to take! When you’re busy making everyone beautiful, sometimes you forget to document the magic. 💄✨

We’re still in the early stages of designing my face-to-face makeup education studio, but the space is already coming together beautifully. Little by little, I’m creating a place for learning, artistry, creative outreach, and connection. 💄🎨

These are some of the stations that will be coming from my mentor, Eugenia Weston of Senna Cosmetics. Having a piece of her legacy in this new chapter means so much to me. What a beautiful way to carry forward everything she shared with me as I prepare to teach others. ❤️

There’s still plenty to do, but I can finally see my vision taking shape. I can’t wait to welcome you!

I’m not moving to a new location—I’m reimagining the space I already have and turning it into something fresh, beautiful, and inspiring. I’ve been a little quiet here because I’ve been helping my son make the enormous transition to UC Berkeley—and then turning my attention toward reclaiming and refreshing my own home. But behind the scenes, another part of my life has been calling me back: makeup artistry and education.

After more than 25 years as a makeup artist, educator and business owner, I’m beginning to imagine the next chapter of Face-to-Face—an intimate, beautiful space for hands-on makeup education, private lessons, and bridal makeup and hair. I’m not ready to reveal everything yet, but I’m excited to begin sharing the journey.
