I’m not working out because I’m afraid of getting older.

I’m working out because I want to fully enjoy every year I get. 💪❤️

At 74, movement is my celebration—not my punishment.

Some days you’ll find me lifting weights.
Some days I’m swimming laps.
Other days I’m dancing around the house like nobody’s watching.

I don’t move because I have to.

I move because I love feeling strong, energetic, independent, and alive.

Every workout is an investment in my future.
Every rep builds confidence.
Every lap reminds me that my body is capable of amazing things.

Age isn’t the reason to slow down.

It’s the reason to keep showing up for yourself.

So don’t worry about having the “perfect” workout. Start where you are. Walk. Lift. Swim. Dance. Stretch. Just move your body and celebrate what it can do.

Your future self will thank you. ❤️

👇 Tell me…what’s your favorite way to move your body?

🚨 What if you’re not lazy… and you’re not “just getting older” either?

What if your body is trying to tell you something?

If you’ve been feeling exhausted no matter how much you sleep, struggling with brain fog, or wondering where your motivation disappeared to… low iron could be part of the story.

Low iron can sometimes show up as:

🩸 Constant fatigue
🧠 Brain fog
💫 Dizziness
💅 Brittle nails
💇‍♀️ Hair thinning
🦵 Restless legs
😔 Feeling down or lacking motivation

So let me ask you…

Have you ever discovered that a vitamin or mineral deficiency—not age—was the real reason you felt so tired?

👇 Share your experience in the comments. You never know who might need to hear your story.

If these symptoms sound familiar, don’t ignore them. A simple conversation with your doctor and the right blood work can help identify whether low iron is playing a role.

Knowledge is power—and sometimes, more energy starts with finding the real cause.

YOU NEED THIS TRICK IF 😵‍💫 Mind racing at night? Craving sugar? Always feeling on edge?

If you are wired but tired, your body is overloaded with the stress hormone cortisol. In healthy amounts, cortisol helps regulate energy, immunity, and your sleep-wake rhythm.

However, if you are always stressed, cortisol will flood your body, leading to health issues like:

⚖️ Weight gain around your midsection
🧠 Memory loss, difficulty focusing, and brain fog
🩺 High blood pressure
🔥 Increased risk for blood sugar issues
🦴 Bone issues
🦠 Weaken immune function

The GOOD NEWS? You can get your cortisol back into balance with one quick trick:

Take a 60-second outdoor break. 🌿

Fresh air, natural light, and a moment away can help your body shift out of fight-or-flight and back to calm.

So the first half of your year didn't go as planned, but your goals are still in reach. ☀️

I know that when you set big goals for yourself, it can be disheartening when you don't reach them. However, the only time limits on our goals are the ones we set ourselves.

Instead of focusing on what you haven't accomplished, think about how good it will feel at the end of the year when you can say, "I came back for myself" because you recommitted. ✨

Summer is the perfect time to recommit to your health. Start small. Go for a walk today, skip the junk food, and snack on some veggies, or go to bed early.

Your past does not get the final say. It is never too late to take back your life. 💪✨

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is pick up a pen. ✍️❤️

When my mind starts replaying worries, disappointments, or stressful moments, I don’t let them take up permanent space in my head.

I write.

Journaling helps me slow down, untangle my thoughts, and make sense of what I’m feeling. Somehow, once those thoughts land on paper, they don’t seem nearly as overwhelming. I gain clarity, perspective, and a little more peace.

If you’ve been carrying around stress, frustration, or heartache, try writing it out.

It doesn’t have to sound beautiful.
It doesn’t have to make sense.
Write it messy.
Write it angry.
Write it through tears if you need to.

Just let it out.

Your journal isn’t there to judge you. It’s there to listen, hold your thoughts, and remind you that healing often begins with honesty. 💖

Sometimes the page can carry what your heart has been carrying for far too long.
📝 Tell me…have you ever tried journaling? Has it helped you, or is it something you’ve been meaning to start?

REMINDER: You do not have to shrink to make other people comfortable. 💅

A healthy life requires more than workouts and nutrients. It requires self-respect, strong boundaries, and deciding that your worth is never up for debate.

You do not need to become smaller, easier, or more agreeable to deserve respect. You’ve got things to do, and shrinking is not on your schedule. 🔥

Today, commit to protecting your peace, trusting your voice, and showing up as your whole loud and proud self.

Have you always wanted to learn something but feel like it’s too late? 👀

At age 74 today I smile when I think about the day I found the courage to learn how to swim which was at age 70. I had so much fun that I’m always excited for my next challenge.

Turns out, not only is it never too late to learn something new, but it’s also important for your brain health. Research shows that novelty and mentally stimulating activities support:

🧠 Memory
🎯 Concentration
🧩 Problem-solving
✨ Confidence
🌱 Overall cognitive health

Tell that little voice inside of your head that says “you’re too old to learn this” or “you should have learned when you were younger” that you’re too busy with your new challenge to hear that negativity.

Take the class, learn the new language, or pick up that instrument. Whatever you want to do, your brain and your future self will thank you. 💪🧠✨

There’s one exercise women over 40 should master. Most people skip it. 👀
It’s the split squat, and she is not here to play. 🦵🔥

Split squats:

💪 Build lower-body muscle
🦴 Supports bone mass
🦵 Strengthens hips, knees, and ankles
⚖️ Improves balance and stability
🔥 Supports metabolism

To do them, stand with one foot forward and one foot back, like a short lunge stance. Keep most of your weight in your front foot. Lower your back knee down to the floor while keeping your chest tall. Then press through your front foot to stand back up.

I recommend starting with your body weight and aiming for 12 controlled reps once a week, then scaling from there 🏋️‍♀️✨.
