I can never have just “plain” nails… I wouldn’t be me lol.

Anyhow, once again on this never ending health journey, I’m forced to take a break from clients. While advocating intensely for myself and with my amazing Physiatrist (doctor who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation), he recognized one of my patterns finally of insane swelling that starts at the top of abdomen all the way down to my feet. He sent me to a Vascular Surgeon. I have never felt so validated upon that appointment, by just filling out the intake form and answering their questions about my symptoms. I got a pelvic/abdominal ultrasound in his office and then had to get an IVUS (intravascular ultrasound). We found something that is highly underdiagnosed and why other doctors don’t recognize this sooner is beyond me, especially when told specific symptoms!

I have Bilateral May Thurner Syndrome (MTS), which is a rare vascular condition where both iliac veins are compressed by the overlying iliac arteries against the spine, causing chronic venous insufficiency. I have 70% compression on both sides, significant pelvic collateral veins, and a narrowing Inferior Vena Cava. I’m having iliac vein stent placement on both sides in a couple weeks. Then after that, we assess whether or not I’ll need pelvic vein clamps to shut off those veins.

Interesting find to say the least lol… and I think I finally need to listen to my body… welcome to my healing era 💗

Love Month is beginning!

And here is my right hand, finished them this morning! These are a little more “client friendly” for those that aren’t ready to commit to the bolder style of bangles! (And easier for me doing them with my non dominant hand 😹🙈)
