🌿 Wildflower Way Wednesday | Maybe We’re Just Getting Started 🌿

Okay, ladies 40+… this one is for us. 🤍

Perimenopause and menopause can be A LOT. Hot flashes. Sleepless nights. Irritability. Brain fog. Achy joints and inflammation. And suddenly we’re being bombarded with information…HRT or no HRT? More magnesium? Black cohosh? Beef liver? Wild yam? And what in the world is a frozen shoulder and why are we talking about it now?! 😂

At Wildflower Wellness, I make products like Her Harmony Tea and Wild Yam Butter that I personally believe in and use but I will never pretend that one product, herb, or supplement is the answer for every woman.

We are all different.

And if you are absolutely miserable or your symptoms are interfering with your quality of life, please talk with your healthcare provider. There are options, and you don’t earn a badge for suffering through it.

But today, I really want to talk about something else.

What if this season isn’t only about what we’re losing or what our bodies are changing into?

What if it’s also an awakening?

I’ve noticed something about women in this stage of life. We start protecting our peace. We stop agreeing just to keep everyone else comfortable. We speak up. We rediscover things we love. We start asking ourselves what we actually want the next chapter to look like.

And some pretty incredible women found entirely new chapters later in life. Vera Wang entered fashion design at 40. Julia Child published her first cookbook at 49. Laura Ingalls Wilder published her first Little House book at 65.

Maybe there’s something beautiful about reaching an age where we’ve lived through enough to have wisdom but still have SO much life left to learn, create, love, explore and become.

So start the hobby. Take the class. Care for your body. Set the boundary. Chase the dream you’ve been sitting on. Start the business. Reinvent yourself if you want to.

Maybe we’re not halfway done. Maybe we’re finally becoming brave enough to begin. 🌿🤍

That’s the Wildflower Way.

🌿 Meet the Remedy Monday: The Better Days Bundle 🌿

I don’t know about y’all, but it’s only the second week of school and I’m already surrounded by littles who are getting sick. 😅 And when I start getting that tired, worn-down, I-might-be-fighting-something-off feeling… I’m heading straight to my fridge AND my remedy cabinet.

That’s exactly why I created our Better Days Bundle. 🤍

When I feel something coming on, I’m not looking for just ONE thing, I personally like having a whole wellness routine ready to go.

🌿 Elderberry Syrup
🌿 Cough Syrup — I personally choose Deep Root when I want the garlic-containing option
🌿 Nasal Spray
🌿 3-pack of Flu Bomb Tea
🌿 Detox Bath
🌿 Chest Rub

And if nasal spray just isn’t your thing, you can make an even swap for our Throat Spray instead!

Because I’ll be honest: when I start feeling run down, I’m reaching for ALL the things. 😂 I want the warm tea. I want the bath. I want my elderberry. I want my chest rub. I want that whole comforting wellness routine working alongside my body while I rest, hydrate, and give myself a little extra TLC.

I’ll even personally add one oil of oregano capsule to my routine. Wildflower Wellness does not make our oil of oregano, we source it separately, but it’s something I like to keep in my own wellness cabinet.

That’s what I love most about bundles: everything is already together when you need it. No scrambling around once you’re already feeling blah.

Because we’ve got work to do, kids to love on, businesses to run, sunshine to enjoy, and lives to LIVE. 🌿☀️ Here’s to more Better Days and fewer days spent down and out.

✨ Better Days Bundles are available exclusively through our website. Need one locally? Reach out to Wildflower Wellness directly!

🍽️🌿 FROM MY TABLE FRIDAY 🌿🍽️

Football season is HERE, so you know what that means…

🏈 “MOM! THE MEATLOAF!” 😂

And I’ve got a seriously good low-carb meatloaf for you! This is one of those recipes where we’ll give you the basics…but some things you’re just gonna have to measure with your heart. 🤌🏼❤️

🥩 LOW-CARB MEATLOAF

You’ll need:
• 2 lbs ground beef
• A little Worcestershire sauce
• Salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder — measure with your heart!
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 cup panko breadcrumbs OR our low-carb swap: Cut Da Carb Low Carb Bread Crumbs
• 1 onion, diced
• 5–6 garlic cloves, minced
• BBQ sauce, ketchup OR marinara — you choose!
• Shredded cheese for the top 🧀

🔥 Preheat oven to 400°F.

Combine your ground beef, Worcestershire, seasonings, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, and a little of your chosen sauce. Get in there and mix it all together!

Now for one of my FAVORITE little tricks 👇🏼

🍞 Place 2 slices of bread in the bottom of your baking dish to absorb the excess grease while your meatloaf cooks. Place your meat mixture on top and shape it into a loaf.

Slather the top with ketchup, marinara, or — our personal favorite — BBQ sauce! Then I like to add a little shredded cheese because…well, cheese. 😂

Pop it into the oven for about 45–55 minutes, or until the center reaches a safe internal temperature of 160°F.

Serve it up with your favorite low-carb sides and you’ve got some serious football-season comfort food. 🏈🍽️

Because healthy eating doesn’t have to mean giving up the meals your family actually LOVES. Sometimes it just means finding a better swap. 🌿

From my table to yours, happy Friday! 🤎

🌿 Wildflower Way Wednesday | What Are You Pouring From?

We talk a lot about wellness in terms of what we put into our bodies….nourishing foods, herbs, movement, rest, supplements, clean ingredients.

But sometimes one of the most important things we can do for our health is pay attention to what we’re allowing to live in our minds and hearts.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about kindness, gratitude, boundaries, and perspective.

We’ve all heard, “Be careful of the company you keep.” And there is so much truth in that. But what about the people we have to interact with?

The coworker you see every day.
The difficult customer.
The person who seems determined to misunderstand you.
The interaction that lasts five minutes but somehow leaves you carrying it for five hours.

Some people are fountains. They pour encouragement, peace, kindness, and goodness into the people around them.

Others can feel like drains.

And if we aren’t careful, we can spend so much time focusing on what someone else is pouring out that we forget to pay attention to what is filling our own cup.

One lesson I continue to come back to is this:

My kindness is not weakness.

I don’t treat people with kindness because they have necessarily earned it. I choose kindness because of who I want to be. I respect others because I respect myself. I can extend grace while still having boundaries. I can be understanding without allowing myself to be mistreated. I can protect my peace without becoming hardened.

And when life feels especially heavy, I want to be able to come back to gratitude and say:

I still have so much to thank God for.
I still have hope.
I still have joy.
I still have purpose.
And this circumstance does not get to take those things from me.

That’s why knowing what fills your cup matters so much.

Maybe it’s prayer. Time with God. Sitting outside in the sunshine. Movement. Music. Journaling. Gardening. Dinner with people you love. Quiet time alone. Whatever brings you back to a place of peace, make room for it.

Because eventually, what fills us is what spills out of us.

Our bodies carry stress. Our minds need tending too. And sometimes wellness looks like nourishing your body but sometimes it looks like guarding your thoughts, practicing gratitude, choosing kindness, setting a boundary, forgiving, walking away, or simply refusing to let someone else’s negativity become your own.

🌿 Fill your cup with good things. Protect it with healthy boundaries. And when life bumps into you, let what spills over be grace, kindness, peace, and gratitude.

That’s wellness, too.

The Wildflower Way. 🤍
