“Biological age” tests are having a very public reckoning.
New research out this August put epigenetic “biological age” clocks through their first real scientific stress test — and found that five of the most common ones aren’t even measuring the same thing, despite being sold under one label.
The takeaway isn’t that the science is fake. It’s that “we tested your biological age” means almost nothing without knowing which test, validated against what, read by whom.
