This was a long-overdue post.

I love anything that is handmade from scratch because it carries the emotions of the creator and the time she has invested to make something beautiful.

I wanted to wear this saree for Saraswati Pujo, and I thought a pair of handmade earrings would go perfectly with it. I reached out to Shayatry because I knew there’s almost nothing she can't make.

"Jemon kotha temon kaj" she made a custom earpiece for me that matched the embroidery of my saree.

A red dupatta covering a new Hindu bride holds deep cultural and spiritual meaning. The act of draping it over her head symbolizes blessings, protection, and the sacredness of the moment. Red represents auspiciousness, love, and strength—so placing the red dupatta signifies welcoming the bride into a new phase of life with good fortune. It also reflects respect for tradition, as well as the warmth of the family embracing her. The red dupatta becomes a gentle, symbolic shield of love, dignity, and divine grace over the bride.

Here is my new project, presenting a very traditional Bengali bride look, featuring vintage jewelry and braided hair.

A beautiful shoot with the ever-so-graceful Sanchari Chakraborty Paul
