The reason I don't post many before and afters anymore is because 90% of my clients now are refreshes/retouches and not big changes. The same color retouched, the same foil pattern brought back up to the scalp, the same haircut trimmed up an inch etc.
So here's a quick little before, during, and after a partial foil, tome, and haircut service! As you can see, not much changed except her roots and fresh ends, but this service was 2.5 hours!
I always want to post my work but this is my bread and butter! Retouches and chit chatting and then I forget lol Do we like this style of just posting quick unedited before and afters??

**THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS**
DRY SHAMPOO EDITION
I live on dry shampoo, but it's also a good style! My favorite dry shampoo is TWO! Because you use them differently and they serve different purposes.
BATISTE is the best. I have used every dry shampoo under the sun from super expensive to super cheap and I always come back to this brand. Professional dry shampoos don't work for me, and provide unpredictable results on others, but Batiste never fails. I am a smells person and always grab a different scent and I love that I can get it from Walmart, as seen by my photo on a Walmart aisle. The colored sprays are excellent for scalp coverage on thin hair, I also use them for ups and weddings. Spray some in liberally in sections, let it sit, then brush it out. If you have dark hair and are left with a white cast, hairspray makes it go away! Always recommend Batiste.
Now, K18 Dry shampoo is amazing, but different. It is a liquid and it does make your hair wet. Depending on your hair type and style this may or may not be the best dry shampoo for you. I use this for my bangs on a daily basis and then re-dry and style them because I wear them straight. Sometimes on my day 3 of curls when I spray my curls down I will hit the part line with some of this dry shampoo and I obviously don't blow dry curls, but when it dries it looks clean again! Never a white cast, and it works VERY well even when used sparingly. It is pricey, but I've had this little bottle for almost a year and use it at least 2x a week.
BOTH dry shampoos work absorbing oil. Both add texture and volume!
As always, I only recommend buying products from salons or licensed retailers.

Deeply saddened to hear about my clients sudden passing. Jeff was a cool dude who also loved horror movies and shows, you could tell he was a great partner to his new wife who is my client as well. Help her out if you can π

** THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS**
The only way I could start a favorite product series. ππ»
If you've been in my chair, you should already know this... Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum will always be my OG. A light weight silicone serum that is the GOAT in many different ways. In my almost 20 years of doing hair I have never found any other product that behaves the same.
It is not heavy and doesn't weigh down fine hair. It can be used as a leave in conditioner, heat protector, or smoothing serum. It can be used to add shine and smooth natural curls. It can be used on wet hair as a detangler, heat protector, or defrizzer.
I literally use this on almost everybody who sits in my chair, and myself. I will neverrrrr not sing its praises! Oils are too heavy and greasy, heat protector sprays are a waste of time, THIS WILL ALWAYS BE MY NUMBER ONE!
P.S. Absolutely no AI was or will ever be used in making these slides!
Paul Mitchell
I don't support buying professional products from anywhere besides salons or licensed retailers.

Not my usual content, but still educational about hair! Come with us to the beauty supply!
I always get so many questions about how I do my daughter's hair. What a silly thing that these types of shops don't exist everywhere for all types of hair! Usually owned by an African, Jamaican , or Asian woman, these shops are a staple for textured hair all over the country. I realized today that many people that I know now and sit in my chair may have never experienced this!
Sure you can buy these things from Amazon, but I love supporting small businesses like this that have been around for years. I like to see the quality of the hair with my eyes and let my daughter pick out the colors. I like shopping the product rows and finding something I may not have found on my own!
Most of the products here are for a certain type of hair and scalp texture, but some can be used for all hair types. Certain products are hard to find in store and are necessary for textured hair styling, which is why these types of beauty supplies are gems!
This store is on 124th in Everett. Hope you enjoyed the tour!
