✨ Save this Galbitang Recipe ✨

As an asian girl who’s trying to lose weight but struggles with lightheadedness during my period, my boyfriend’s korean mom recommended that I start off the day with soups like galbitang because it is low in calories yet high in both iron and protein, which will help prevent dizziness and give me the stength to make it though the day.

Ingredients
* 3 lb beef short ribs
* 1 lb Korean radish
* 8 garlic cloves
* 2 green onions, white and green parts seperated
* 1 onion, quartered
* 2 tbsp soy sauce
* 3 oz glass noodles

Instructions
1. Soak the ribs in water for 30 minutes to draw out impurities, then drain and rinse.
2. Blanch the ribs in a pot of boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and rinse again.
3. Add the ribs back into the pot with water, onions, white parts of green onions, garlic, and soy sauce.
4. Boil for 1 hour, then remove and discard all of the vegies.
5. Chop the radish into bite sized pieces, then add to the pot.
6. Boil for 30 minutes and add glass noodles for the final 6 minutes.
7. To serve, top with sliced green onions.
