Men have weak skin too.
And it shows up differently from women.
Women get marionette “lines.”
Men get a deep vertical fissures separating the cheek into two halves.
I first noticed this on Bryan Cranston several years ago.
While I don’t know the exact reason for this, it may be that the masseter muscle force creates more wear and tear.
The squaring of the face also seems to happen earlier for men: 40s, rather than 50s.
I am even less sure of what causes this impact.
The eye weakness also seems to be more prominent in men.
But I’m interesting in what you think!

We decided to redo the “it’s just weak skin video”
We had good intentions with the first video, but in retrospect, and thanks to some very pointed critiques lobbed our way, we realized that some of the messaging reflected prolonged exposure to skincare industry marketing. It’s hard to get that s**t out of your system.

You need a constant supply of new, small, efficient fat cells.
Inflammation has 3 negative effects.
It drives stem cells to become bone or muscle cells, instead of ore-adipocytes.
It prevents pre-adipocytes from becoming mature lipid storing adipocytes.
And it turns pre-adipocytes into immune like cells that make more inflammatory compounds.
As a result, your fat cells become bloated and your skin gets weak.
Strong skin requires small fit adipocytes.

Strong skin requires small fat cells.
You can get smaller fat cells in two ways. Reduce the size or increase the number.
The ingredients in SBG do both.
And they also tamp down inflammation which can interfere with regeneration.
Can it strengthen the weak bits around the joints? Yes.
Can it improve the crepe like texture of sun exposed skin? Yes.
Good for loose skin post fat loss? Yes.

It’s still not cheap.
But we are making progress to making Adipeau more accessible.
Since launching in 2020, we have not increased price.
With inflation in skincare, running between 5 and 15 percent over those 4 years, that represents an additional benefit.
We are going to do more. I don’t want price to be a big factor in skin health.

Nature has its own plan.
The cream just helps it along.
Sometimes the skin responds to Adipeau with what looks like a breakout. Little red or white bumps.
A couple of our aestheticians taught me that this irritation is the skin responding to the nourishment the cream provides.
I would never have guessed this on my own.
I am grateful for our community.
