After cutting for a number of Chelsea salons and developing a large local following, Michael chose to open a full-service barber shop with reasonable prices right in the heart of the neighborhood. Michael's Today Hair Barber shop opened in 2006 and is staffed with a dozen cutters who have well over a hundred years of experience between them

Michael's Today Barber Shop is directly across the street from the Gotham Comedy Club and the historical landmark Chelsea Hotel. Just off 7th Avenue on West 23rd Street,

next door to the former YMCA, now the David Barton Gym, please be sure not to confuse us with the other barber shops in the area. SUBWAYS
1 train: Exit 23rd Street, walk west, 3 doors down, immediately after the library and David Barton Gym

C, E trains: Exit 23 Street, walk East toward 7th avenue, past several hair salons, to Michael's, across from the Chelsea Hotel at the end of the block

F: Exit 23rd Street, walk 1 block West, cross the street and look for us across from the Chelsea Hotel

2, 3, A trains – exit 14th and walk up to 23rd, or change for local C, E, or 1 trains to 23rd Street
