What Is a Colon Polyp? | The Best Food for Colon Polyp Prevention
Colon polyps are more common than many people realize. In this video, you'll learn what a colon polyp is, what the term pedunculated means, and why researchers are interested in fermented foods like sauerkraut for supporting colon health.
We'll explore the role of probiotics, lactic acid bacteria, prebiotic fiber, and butyrate, and discuss what current research suggests about maintaining a healthy gut microbiome. While no single food can prevent colon polyps or colorectal cancer, a healthy diet and lifestyle may help support long-term colon health.

If you're dealing with diarrhea from a stomach bug, food poisoning, or a parasitic infection like Cyclospora, what you eat and drink can support your recovery.
The priority is staying hydrated. Drink plenty of water, an oral rehydration solution or electrolyte drink, and consider broths, soups, or herbal teas.
Choose gentle, easy-to-digest foods such as white rice, potatoes, plain pasta, toast, oatmeal, bananas, applesauce, lean chicken, fish, eggs, tofu, and well-cooked vegetables. If you tolerate dairy, probiotic-rich Greek or skyr yogurt may also help.
While you're recovering, try to avoid alcohol, caffeine, sugary drinks, greasy or fried foods, spicy meals, and large amounts of high-fiber foods. Eating small, frequent meals is often easier on your digestive system than skipping meals.
Seek medical care if you develop severe dehydration, bloody diarrhea, a high fever, severe abdominal pain, or if your symptoms persist for more than a few days.

Most people think stomach ulcers are caused by stress.
Research tells a more complete story.
Today, most peptic ulcers are linked to either H. pylori infection or long-term use of NSAID painkillers (such as ibuprofen or naproxen).
Stress can make symptoms feel worse, but it's usually not the primary cause.
Understanding the real cause is the first step toward proper treatment.
