Signature URL events include: cocktail brunches, talent showcases, business launches, food & wine tastings, industry networking socials and celebrity charity auctions. Jovone, the savvy business woman who resides in New York, decided upon this concept after being inspired by the Resurgence of Harlem as she took note of the gourmet renaissance of restaurants, new businesses, shops, and multi-million dollar brownstones being built and restored; the authentic, glowing nostalgia of Harlem resurfaced. With more neighborhood diversity, elite African-Americans and entertainment industry celebrities calling Harlem “home,” Harlem is the place to be and to be seen. Jovone tapped into this opportunity thusly wanting to bring a more diverse atmosphere to Harlem including successful entrepreneurs and professional celebrity industry individuals thusly creating URL, a brand that will connect and create a powerful network of “movers and shakers” together all in the name of Harlem. URL changes the social event planning landscape by its social caliber and by the creative visionaries’ belief in paying it forward. URL will donate select proceeds giving back to the community of Harlem from events that the firm hosts. The social party scene is just as important as the philanthropic component of the business for Jovone. URL’s, founder, Julia Jovone, is no stranger to the celebrity circuit as she is an Emmy Award winning celebrity makeup artist whose client list includes: Tyler Perry and Shonda Rhimes. Jovone received an Emmy for her technical makeup expertise on TV daytime drama series, One Life to Live. After receiving her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Genovia Elle continues to strive for excellence. By 2016, she will have thus received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Though Genovia Elle is very passionate about her work as a clinician, she is also on a mission to influence, inspire and impact the lives of others through writing and fashion. Additionally, Genovia Elle views fashion as a vehicle of true self-expression. She finds much joy in helping women discover their true essence of self and feeling comfortable and confident with whom they are.
