I had to spotlight my client Asa after seeing her 4 week progress pics! 🤯🔥 Asa has been working with me for the past 4 weeks. A few things about her: -she’s a busy working woman in the medical field -she used to door dash for lunch and eat out after work most days due to being so busy and tired -tried a few “diets” in the past and used to cut out all carbs to try and tighten up her waist Now since joining my program she is: -not even following a “set meal plan” instead we focus on one habit a time like getting in at least 30 grams of protein in the morning -more energetic than ever -only down 2 lbs! 😳 This is why I stress to not focus so much on the scale and instead measure your progress via pics, measurements etc. because the scale doesn’t give you the full story to show you how your waist is tighten, back rolls disappearing, and 🍑 shaping up via the effort you’re putting in. I can do a lot of things but performing miracles ain’t one of them 🙇🏽♂️ If you don’t eat, you don’t grow. You need be in a calorie surplus so your body has the necessary calories to promote muscle growth. To keep it simple, you need to be consuming more calories than what it takes to maintain where you are currently at. If that’s 2000 calories a day for you right now, then you need to be consuming a little more. If you are in a good place to start increasing your calories than my professional recommendation is to start by adding 200-400 calories to your daily intake. Everyone has different caloric needs but I know for a FACT, eating 1400 calories ain’t gone cut it. You have to eat sweetheart. Imma pray for you though 🙏🏽

You’re busy so usually you go for what’s more convenient , I get it… Yet you and I both know the mindless snacking on nuts, granola bars and chips can do more harm than good. Especially because most of those snacks are extremely calorie dense with little protein. Try incorporating one or all four of the ideas I mentioned in the video to help you get your protein intake all which serve you in the following ways: 1.) You’ll feel fuller longer due to the satiated feeling high protein foods give. 2.) If you’re also resistance training the increase in protein is going to help you build some quality muscle for that toned look you may be going for. 3.) To be a father to daughter… often I am showed my strengths but even more also my weaknesses… I understand the role I play….these times of her development are crucial… I want nothing more than to protect her so I reiterate these teachings often to her. 1.) To respect herself. To respect who she is as an individual. 2.) She’s a 1 of 1. Everything about her is beautiful and unique. Not just externally but also internally. 3.) To demand respect. Any man/boy in her life that disrespects her is not a person that should stay in her life. 4.) That I value who she is, not just now but as she continues growing into herself. 5.) Knowing she can count on me. Life is going to happen but I’m always going to be here for her. No matter what.
What if I told you that maybe not even 10% of the calories you burn today will be burned during your gym or at home workout? Would you believe me? If not, I’m about to change your life by explaining to you what NEAT is. Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis. Which accounts for calories burned outside of “formal” exercise, such as standing, walking, and climbing the stairs…. even s*x can be added here if you do it right 😉 Highly active people can expend up to three times more energy in a day then sedentary people. When someone wants to lose weight, their knee jerk reaction is to start going to the gym, which is good. However, maintaining an active lifestyle can burn significantly higher number of calories than your average gym workout. Most of know that to burn body fat we need to be a calorie deficit (a combination of consuming less calories and expending more calories). When we talk about expending more calories we should not just be looking at working out. This is a error I made for a while with myself and clients over the years. Just to clarify, I’m not going against formal workouts (gym or at home workouts) and implying they are not needed. I just want to make you aware that movement outside the gym needs just as much, if not more, consideration. Habits you can implement to increase your NEAT: -taking the stairs instead of the elevator -parking further away from the store -going on walks with the kids -even while taking calls, you can put in your headphones and pace around the house maybe cleaning up in the process These habits will have a positive impact on not just your fat loss, but your overall health and fitness journey as well helping you to sustain it.

I used to struggle hard in this area of my life. I used to compare myself to others doing better than me and either feel discouraged or resentment. Those feelings weren’t serving me well and I realized they were in fact keeping me stuck…so I had to make a switch from a low vibration to a higher one. I turned the frustration into inspiration. I still compare myself to a degree.. I think it’s natural to “rank” ourselves amongst others….but now it’s from a place of how inspired I am by that individual. If someone else could achieve a certain result, so can I! Maybe not as fast, but as long as I don’t quit, I’ll get there. When I focus on just getting a lil better each day, I tend to stay consistent and motivated in whatever I’m pursuing. For example , recording my work outs. Each workout, I try to out-do my previous personal best. It’s motivating as hell and exciting to see how incrementally over time I’ve improved. 1% better each day ⚡️
