All you *NEED* to moisturize your hair is WATER + SEALANTS (oil/butter/grease/balms).

It is my personal preference to use both in order to get the most moisture out of washday.

The purpose of a leave in conditioner is to provide softness, smooth the cuticle & increase manageability.

Dependent on the product & the hair, a leave in can be a stand alone moisturizer but in most cases you don't *NEED* both a leave in & a sealant to moisturize.
