Studio 336

I’m incredibly excited (and perhaps a little nervous) to be a part of the Hermitage Handmade Festival amongst a great group of other makers and artists this year! It’s been quite a while but I’m excited to share all of the new greeting cards, magnets, and stickers I’ve illustrated. If you’re in or around Norfolk a week from Saturday, stop by and say hi!

I had this illustration finished a few weeks ago and then never got around to posting it(like 95% of my work 😳) but today seemed like the day. I was reading something about Dolly Parton today and the over 3000 songs she wrote among all of the other things she accomplished in her life. I want to figure out who I am and do on purpose with the same amount of energy as Dolly Parton. I also want to watch 9 to 5 again, but, thats unrelated.

There are very few people I’m willing to share my fries with, and even then, why didn’t we get two?? Maybe you understand? In my mind, this card is reserved for someone real special, so, yes, whether you see it as a play on words or want to take it real literal, the recipient is one in the same for me! And now I’m hungry.

I am REALLY good at keeping secrets. So good, in fact, that I have a bunch of new designs and new products you’ve never seen. Like these magnets! I even have a few favorites, which you can see on the last slide. The downside to being really good at keeping secrets though is that I didn’t even sneak you a peek at them until now. But, now you’ve seen them! And you can grab them in the shop. And if you’re into the We’re All Just Screaming ice cream you might want to hop to it because you’re not the only one!

I’ve been working on some cool things and I’m about ready to show you.. next week! So that you don’t miss it, do me a favor and go to my bio and sign up for my newsletter. I’m going to let everyone there know what’s up first, and they’ll get something special, too. They could be you!

What’s the best that could happen??

30/100 .. sort of.

Okay, so I skipped a couple days, and I’m ok with that. I’m back and I’m drawing and sharing and that was the point. So, 30 plus or minus a few is all right with me. And I think I’m gonna call it there 🤷🏻‍♀️ . Done.

But I’m still gonna keep drawing and keep sharing because it got me back in the habit, and I’m excited again. But I also want to take time for longer pieces without the guilt of self imposed rules that are unnecessary. So, on to things with more purpose.

Illustration and animation because the whole point is to do good work.
