Dinner at The Boathouse at Disney Springs ⚓️🍽️

We finally tried The Boathouse, and overall, it was a pretty good meal!

🍺 Antique Alley Amber Ale — 8/10
🍞 Dinner Rolls — 8/10
🍤 Kids’ Popcorn Shrimp & Watermelon — 7/10
🦪 Oysters Rockefeller — 7/10
🐟 Yellowfin Tuna Poke — 7/10

Overall, I gave The Boathouse a 7.5/10. The food was good, the b**r was even better, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Our only real downside was that the service was a little slow.

Definitely a solid dining option if you’re spending some time at Disney Springs!

T-Rex Café at Disney Springs 🦖🌴

We finally tried it, and while the atmosphere was definitely fun, it didn’t quite live up to the hype for us. The meteor shower felt a little underwhelming, especially compared to the thunderstorms at Rainforest Café, and I honestly expected the dinosaurs to move a little more. 😂

Our ratings:
Mozzarella sticks — 6/10
Coconut shrimp — 7/10
Chocolate extinction cake — 5/10 (basically tasted like a chocolate Walmart birthday cake with whipped icing and sprinkles 😅)

Overall, we gave T-Rex Café a 6/10. I probably wouldn’t go back, but if your kid is really into dinosaurs, I still think it’s worth experiencing at least once! 🦕✨

Lunch at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in Magic Kingdom 🍝✨

We started with the fried mozzarella, then my husband and I ordered the chicken parmesan and swapped the marinara spaghetti for fettuccine Alfredo—and I’m so glad we did! The Alfredo paired with the chicken parmesan was delicious. 😋

The girls ordered the kids’ fettuccine Alfredo with fruit and absolutely devoured it. For dessert, we finished with chocolate and vanilla gelato and tiramisu.

Overall, the food was pretty good, the service was great, and it was the perfect spot to sit down, cool off, and recharge during the hottest part of the day. ☀️🏰

What can you actually get done at Magic Kingdom with two 7-year-olds? 🏰✨

We used Early Entry, Standby, and Lightning Lanes to fit in so many rides before leaving the park at 5:10 PM. I included the time we rode each attraction and whether we used Standby or Lightning Lane so you can see exactly how our Magic Kingdom day played out!

We managed Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, it’s a small world, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel (twice! 🎠), Pirates of the Caribbean, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, plus lunch at Tony’s.

Such a fun and productive Disney day with our girls! 💕

Boatwright’s Dining Hall was such a convenient dinner option during our stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside! 🍽️✨

We ended up eating here twice and liked it enough to order the prime rib both times. 😋 The girls loved their mac & cheese, fruit bowls, and cotton candy lemonades, and the Abita b**r flight was a win too — all three were good! 🍺

And of course we had to try a few desserts… peanut butter pie, banana cheesecake, chocolate cake, and the kids’ sundaes. 🍰

Overall, everything was really good, the convenience of having it right at our resort was a huge perk, and we thought it was a great use of our Disney Dining Plan credits!

We stayed at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside and I’d give it a solid 7/10 ✨🏰

For the price, I thought it was a really good Disney resort! We loved the relaxed atmosphere, the pool was great, and while there’s only one sit-down dining option at the resort, we thought it was really good.

My biggest cons were the transportation and room storage. Buses are your only option to get to the parks—no Monorail or Skyliner—and I definitely wish the rooms had a little more storage space.

Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay and I think it’s a great option if you want the Disney Resort experience without paying Deluxe Resort prices. 🤍

Would you stay at Port Orleans Riverside?

Getting from MCO to Disney with kids could not have been easier! ✈️🏰

From collecting, carrying AND loading our luggage, to having booster seats ready for the girls and a Disney playlist playing when we got in — Grayson Town Car thought of everything. 🥹✨

They even timed the radio perfectly so the girls heard the “Welcome to Walt Disney World” message as we drove underneath the Disney arch. Talk about starting the trip on a magical note! 🏰💫

And on departure day? Just as easy.

⭐️ 10/10 experience. We will absolutely be using Grayson Town Car again for our next Disney trip!

This is our FIRST time taking our girls to Disney, and I seriously don’t know who is more excited — them or me! 😂🥹 I found the cutest swim dress and two athletic dresses that I’m hoping will keep me cool, comfortable AND cute for those long Disney days. ☀️🎀
